And for the past month, she has done nothing but got on kitchen counter, tried to get human food, etc etc. This is not her first litter so I don't know what is wrong. And it's not like she does not get cat food (9 Lives canned PLUS 9 Lives dry) Any suggestions as to keep her from doing this (besides keep setting her down)? Anybody have these problems before? Or even now? She is really driving me bonkers. Thanks

Why do I not get her fixed?? Because she is a pure Himalayan & I sell the kittens that is why.

No I do not breed her every time she is in heat. This is the second time in her 4 years. WTF people! I know how to treat animals!! If you don't know, don't answer. I know shelters & such are full of idiots that DON'T know how to take care of animals. I AM NOT ONE OF THESE! But just because I have kittens don't think I don't take care of the things. Damn!

And uh...NO you are NOT going to just "walk" into any shelter & get a Himalayan. Sorry. Don't buy that. At least not in any around here.

Tammy C...... no,not offended but just "mad" because someone sent me 39 emails saying I should be castrated & such. And when I replied, well... they no longer had an email. So.... got pretty mad.
Talked to vet, said it was normal. Had her THOROUGHLY checked out.
He was the one who suggested the 9 Lives in first place.
Yes. I accept the kittens back if no longer wanted AND reimburse. (Hey I love the little critters!!!) I have none left now. It's just the mother. I have never had a complaint from any of the people who have gotten a new family member.
Anyway, thanks all who answered.
I'll stick with my normal question/answers in the Entertainment. Thanks all.
I'll let you all decide who should get the B.A. ok?

Honey cats get on counters all the time. i had to break mine of counter cruising by using a squirt gun. it didnt hurt him, it just made him mad because he didnt like being wet. squirt her enough times while she's on the counter and she'll get the picture. (hopefully) good luck

I can go to any shelter and find a pure Himalayan. You really should think about getting her fixed, instead of adding to the surplus of animals.Of course that's your business, but I do hope that you don't breed her every time she is in heat, and will keep any kittens you can't sell and take back any unwanted ones.As to why she gets on the counters, who knows? My cats do it all the time, and they get fed four different kinds of dry and several different flavors and brands of canned. They just like to get on the counters.Put some aluminum foil on the counters for a week.A lot of cats hate the feel of it and will stay off.

Sheesh! Calm down! OK,so you are a responsible breeder. That's great. It's just that there seems to be an inordinate number of irresponsible breeders on Answers, and I was JUST asking. And,if you'll click on my links, you'll find plenty of Himalayans in shelters.I'm glad that you take good care of your cats! I'm sorry if I offended you.

She is the Queen, that is what they call a pregnant cat and a cat that has had kittens, she may want some extra special attention when she is jumping on the kitchen counters. Or is she jumping near the kitchen sink? She maybe wanting the water from the faucet. All Cats will jump on the counters at one point and time, she will learn with some extra discipline.

WORMS!!!!
Get her and the kittens treated, Our cat ate a victoria sponge cake, sugar iceing as well. It came out the other end looking like a pre-cooked cake. Get some spot on treatment, she'll feel less hungry when the parasites have gone. The kittens you'll have to treat with a worming syrup and an eye dropper to dose them.

if she's never done this before its probably a deficiency in her food that can't handle her nutritional needs after having the kittens. she's craving real meat because cat foods just don't have everything thats in real meat. i'd say try giving her some real meat, until she stops asking for it, to keep her off the counter.

You suck! You make that poor cat provide kittens for you, then you feed her pure garbage like 9 LIVES! And then you get mad when she looks for some real nutrition. Are you selling these cats? Why can't you afford real food like Wellness. I would never buy a pet from you, feeding that crud to your cat. And if she is a sex slave for you, at least give her a snack!

She probably feels she needs some substances and her body tells her to search for them elsewhere. Try givng her kitten food for a few days. And keep the kitchen door closed.

Are the kittens still at home with Mum ? Could be she is just sick of them and is trying to get away / get attention

Or she could be craving something, it might be worth a blood test just to make sure she isnt lacking something

When My cat did it, it was because she was bored of her food and ours tasted better. Fix a little for her, put it In a bowl on the floor and maybe she'll stop. Or get her new cat food.

I would try a dietary supplement. She missing something in her diet.

And plus get that girl fixed. In many communities, you can get low cost spay/neuter services.

She'll be healthier for it. And you won't be adding to the pet overpopulation crisis.
