Cats - August 2007

There used to be a Persian cat who lived down the street from me.He has been missing for several months. I am almost certain I saw this cat today because he looked like the same cat in the face the only difference was that this cat had lost a lot of hair.He was a tomcat who used to get into a lot of fights. Can cats lose their hair this way?

He will definitely be an inside cat forever. I had a cat when I was younger, and she was declawed, and I was glad I did. I just can't decide what to do. No offense, but I don't want to hear about any anti-declawing websites. I understand the process, I just can't decide if I want to have it done. Serious opinions from experienced cat owners please.

I'm about to adopt an albino kitten, but I can't seem to find any information on them. I know they are sensitive to certain things...can anyone give me some good information about what to expect. Or any websites or books that have information on albino felines.

There is a stray in my apartment complex that i have been feeding. I suspect it has worms, and i have tried to feed it the tablet from the pet store, but it just eats around them. It wont let me get close enough to pick it up to take it to the vet, but i want to help. Are there any "home remidies" that i can try?? Maybe putting something in it's food??(that it will actually eat)

declawing is just where they CLIP a cats fingernails so low that they can't grow back! they do not pull them out!!!! so why do people make such a bug deal out of it? Even if they do pull them out the cat is asleep and doesn't feel anything.

I love my cat and she always sits in lap while we watch TV.
I sometimes watch animal channel , I notice she becomes very alert when she is watching animal channel ..

But when I change channel to watch other channel she seems to complain --- I feel bad for her ..and I feel a little guilty also ...what should I do ??

For about a 2 weeks a VERY thin cat that is nery obviously not neutered has been roaming around my neighborhood. Well I called the local animal shelter and they haven't been able to catch him, so I put some food and water outside for him. For the past 3 or 4 days I have seen him in my backyard, but when I go outside he runs off. Well the day before yesterday I was outside and he came up to me and he is really very friendly. I decided last night I want to keep him (if I can), but I am afraid when I take him in there will be thousands of dollars of work to be done on him... Please help I really want to give him a good home, but I don't want to spend anymore than 300-400 dollars on getting him back to health.. :(

My cat mixy is throwing up everyday. It's either on dry food or wet food. We keep changeing food but the cat keeps getting sick at least once or twice a day. The cat seems healthy but i'm just worried about her when this happens. Does anybody have any advice

Help me please. I use Fresh Step crystals as kitty litter for my cat Chui, but she keeps crapping on the edge of the litter box and i'm getting sick of cleaning the walls. The litter is superb, no smell and clumps very well. But i can never find her poop in the middle of the litter, always on the edge or sometimes she misses and does her thing on the wall. Is my cat ok? Or should i take her to a vet, or a therapist for that matter.

I just got a kitten the other day. I have never had a kitten before because I have been allergic to them my whole life so I know nothing about them.
Lately in the morning after my finace leaves for work and I am still in bed he will crawl into bed with me and start kneading the part or my neck that meets my back. At first I thought it was cute but he has nails and it hurts.
Why does he do this?

He likes to bite people now. He never did that before, but I took him to the vet and he didn't have rabies, or any other disease; but it seems like as of late he has gotten very aggressive? He is neutered by the way.
