You should take them to the vet, because they can give them a pill that will make the fleas drop off dead within 30 minutes. Best wishes.

You cant put frontline on them because the mama is still nursing and the baby has to eat. Dont put flea collars on them either!
Call the vet and see what they recommend. But you could also try to put a white bowl of water by them and the fleas are atracted to light and the lightness of the bowl will attract some of the fleas to the bowl and they will drown. Make sure that you clean the bedding that they are useing, or even if you have a small light that you can set by the water dish then the fleas will see the light and feel the heat and they sould go to it. It wont help all the fleas but call the vet and see what they recomend. It wouldnt hurt to just call.

Have had many stray mommas and children here.... If she is friendly is the first big question. You cannot bath her or the baby or flea meds at this point. A flea comb or just doing a "monkey type search and kill" is the best options. I feel around and look for the fleas and pop them with my fingernails. Kind of gross but effective. Any medication stuff can kill the kitten, even if it's put on the momma since the kitten nuzzles and suckles her. If she and the baby are not tame enough to handle getting a flea light with a sticky pad is the next best option and put it close to their "bed".

Buy some Revolution. Use two applications. They are about 12 dollars per application and your local vet might sell them individually. If not, you can get a pack at Drsfosterandsmith.com. Your vet might also have a spray you can buy that works for the kitten. Since she is so young, it's not good to give it traditional methods. However, use one full tube of Revolution on the mom (follow instructions). Then for the kitten, it's safe to use the Revolution on the kitten but in a tiny, tiny dose. Like 1/4 of the tube. We caught some feral kittens and our vet advised us to do that. It works for a whole month and gets rid of the fleas within an hour.

Treat the mother cat only not the kitten you will kill it,
Go to a pet store and buy a good flea control for cats and only put it on the mother this should help with the ones on her kitten but what ever you do don't put it on the kitten.

never use flea and tick shampoo on a kitten unless it is older than reccomended on the bottle, flea collars are useless, don't wastey our time. the other option is to call the vet and see if there is any home remedy that you could use

Spray them with Frontline. the spray, not the spot on. And make sure not to put in on their faces, and not to let them lick it off each other or themselves while they are still wet. And don't put too much on the baby.
Frontline spray is OK even after the kitten is 2 days old.
