How do I get her to stop? It drives me nuts. She shreds posters on the walls, book jackets, and once she even shredded a term paper.

Hi guys, I rescued my little guy from a kill shelter back in November. He was only about 6 weeks old. His name is Pudge (fits him perfectly) and he's got quite long hair. My mom and I are almost positive that he is a Siberian. Maybe full siberian, but perhaps he may have some sort of mix too. Here are some pictures:

(He's just a little guy here - about 2 weeks after I brought him home. Maybe around 8 weeks.)

I took a few today, just so everyone can see how LARGE he has gotten - and he's not even a year old yet!

He may look a little lazy in the pics - but I assure you he is the most playful, loving cat I've ever met. I also have 2 older female cats, an orange tabby and a siamese/calico mix. He loves *trying* to play with them, but they are a bit snooty to him and just want to lay around :) Anyways thanks for your help!

I've picked up a stray kitten last night. I heard her mewing and she basically followed me. Because it was late at night and she was so small, I figured she'd probably been abandoned. She won't even eat solid food yet, only milk. Plus, she looked scared and was basically begging passer-bys with continuous mewing.
So I took her in.
The only problem is it's been about 10 hours now, and I don't know where she goes yet (I'm sure she must have left a gift or two somewhere by now). I wasn't prepared for this, so right now, I've filled a shoebox with potting soil. I'm going to go get some real litter in a couple of hours. Anyway, I've shown her the shoebox, but it hasn't been used yet and I don't think she gets it.
So what's the quickest way to get a kitten to understand the concept of litter box?

My 6 year old indoor male cat has some kind of swelling on his chin, upper neck area. This is the first it has happened and it only appeared this morning. It seems to me like an infection. I haven't taken him to the vet yet because it is an enormous hassle to get him into his pet taxi (he is extremely scared of it).

He doesn't touch the area and does not look as if he is in pain and even if I touch it he doesn't mind at all. It's very noticeable and looks as if he is fat which he is not.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thank you.

Last week, on Thursday, I got a 10 week old kitten from the vet's office. They said she had been de-wormed. Last Friday, I gave her Revolution to go ahead and kick any ear mites or fleas that she may have had. The Revolution works for all worms. Tonight, as I was taking a bath, she was using her litterbox which I keep in the bathroom. She jumped out of the box, and a piece of poop flew out of the box with her and landed on the bath mat. I got a piece of toilet paper and picked the poop up and saw what was either tapeworm eggs or tapeworm segments in the poop. Now, I am terrified thinking that she is infested. She has no fleas, and is an indoor cat in a meticulously kept home. Could this just be the worms dead or what? Nothing was moving in the poop. How long should it take for them to pass out of her system if they are dying or dead from the Vet's medicine plus my Revolution? Surely they couldn't survive all that?

We recently put out a new pillow and one of my cats obsessively kneads on it. Some times he will actually lay down but most of the time he just sits there and kneads for a long time.

Specifically an 8 week old kitten. He is developing rough, dry, flaky patches on his front legs and I'm very concerned. I want to get him to a vet ASAP but wondered if I could try Neosporin on the patches for today.

I spoke to my vet the other day and got a recipe for kitten mush. However, I cannot remember the amounts. Could someone help guide me on how much to use?

Evaporated milk
Egg yolks
Honey (I believe it was 1T)
Sugar (I believe it was 1T)
Warm water
Dry kitten food

Mix in Blender....

I just need to know if anyone else knows this recipe and what amounts to use. I've looked on the net but there is no recipe like this one.

I have 2 very active 13 weeks old kittens. I got them when they were 8 weeks old and they were very sick (diahreea, vomiting, etc.) for the first few weeks I had them. It took about 2 weeks and several medicines later for them to stat feeling better. Last Thursday, I came home from being away for a few days for work and noticed that my one kitten (the smaller of the two) had almost no whiskers. The other kitten (the bigger one) has all of her whiskers. I notice as the whiskers start growing out that the ends are bending and then breaking off. The two kittens play very rough and I wasn't sure if I should be worried about the missing whiskers (sick again) or if it could be a result of their "roughhousing". Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I just want to know why are male Calico cats rare? I have a female but a lot of people tell me the boys are rare and I should find one for breeding and make $$$. I don't want to breed. I just want to have another friend. I am just curious to know why they are rare though.
