my cat has lots of scabs on her neck. she doen't have fleas, she stays inside alone. and she doesn't have dry or hot skin. what should i do???

She may have some type of parasite or it could be a food allergy. I would recommend calling a couple vets and getting their opinions. If you call it doesn't cost anything. ;)

Our adopted cat came home with a scab on her neck that multipiled to 3. The vet diagnosed it as allergies...VERY COMMON. She prescribed drugs and special prescription food.
After 6 weeks of scabs forming all over the place the vet had hunch it might be ringworm so she performed the "blacklight" test and it was positive for ringworm (this test is only accurate a small percentage of the time. The best test is a scraping"
So after 9 weeks with scabs and exposure she had ringworm THE WHOLE TIME which takes months to heal!!
Rule out Ringworm and nip it right away!

It does sound like some sort of mite. Beware that there are new mites forming that vets dont always know about. My friend's dog had this problem and it took quite a few vets to identify and treat.
You could try a treatment called Revolution that treats fleas, mites and internal parasites, so it will cover everything.

It could be an allergy - I had one that was allergic to a certain brand of kitty litter. She needs to see a vet.

Sounds like your cat has ear mites. You need to get it to a vet and have them clean out the ears.
