This is what I'd consider a veterinarian emergency, a professional needs to check your cat over to see if there are any broken bones, head trauma, if there was poison involved, if he was bitten by something poisonous (snake, bees), or what. Anything else would just be us guessing and would not help your cat.

Show up at the first hour your vet is open and ask for an emergency appointment. They do that for pets who need help immediately and this sounds like it needs to be taken care of as soon as possible.

Take him to the vet as soon as possible. They will give him the medicine he needs. Also, it is best to keep a cat indoors as much as possible. I had a cat that got shot with a bb gun and one that got a broken jaw that had to be wired shut for 6 weeks. Had to put a towel on him like a bib and feed him baby food!!!

obviously you know that you need to get to the vet immediately - it sounds as if he's been poisoned. If he was missing he mightve been hurt by kids. But paw inflammation also happens when people apply chemical treatments to their lawns. And then the cat trots across the lawn and gets the poison on his paws. Please get to the vet right away.

I hope you are at the vet right now. Breathing like that is not a good sign. It could be treated if you get there now!

i know it can be so scary when your cat is sick..but the only way to make sure he's ok is if you take your kitty to the emergency vet right away.
