My domestic shorthair kitten (male) is about 10 weeks old. He still tries to "nurse" early in the mornings or right when I or my girlfriend come home. He'll basically nibble/suck at his own paws or tail, our shirts, or the carpet, making a kneading motion with his front paws. Is this normal? Should I be trying to stop this behavior?

She climbs on boxes, then jumps unto to ducts in the unfinished room, we can't close off this room because this is where she eats, drinks, pees and poops. We will not move the litter box and food because she will then get angry and pee all over the place. We will not train her or get rid of her. Is there anything we can spray to keep her off for good.

I'd really like something Egyptian. It's a boy soon to be an IT, so I guess gender doesn't really matter.

We just bought a house and have been working on it. There are 2 cats that I have seen outside. I know that my neighbors keep their cats in the house. I only got to see the one cat once. He was a brown cat. The female is a while and black cat. She is very friendly and sleeps under our deck and hides inbetween my house and the neighbors.

One of my neighbors told me that people ditch their cats in the cemetery located directly behind out yard. I have been feeding her and hoping that the male cat is ok.

I know that no one else feeds her because she is so very skinny and I can feel her back bone. I can't not do anything about it. So, I want to ask what things I can do to take care of her, but keep her outside until for a while. We have 2 cats and I don't want to risk getting them sick.

What are the things I can do to care for this stray?

My kitten has breath so bad that if it could be bottled, would be more deadly than any biohazardous material. Seriously, it's narsty. But it's not like it smells like gingivitis, it just smells like his food. I've started to get him ready for teeth brushing and he loves the taste of the kitty toothpaste. Yesterday I used the little toothbrush along with the paste, but his gums started to bleed a little bit. Is this common in teething (he's 5 mos. old) or could it be some sort of problem? He's always had the bad breath and I've taken him to the vet for his shots and they looked at his teeth and never said a word. And he eats like a horse and is super playful, so he doesn't seem sick or anything...

I got my cats one afew days ago, and so far they've completly ignored it. They still prefer the armchair. They also have a scratching post, but they mostly play and sleep on it and like furniture and the carpet on the floor better.

I have an indoor, neutered cat who has been scratching the furniture, fixtures and even family members. I am at the end of my rope. I am considering haveing him de-clawed. Is this a cruel thing to do?

Okay, here's the deal:
My wife and I adopted a cat a few months ago. He's really a great cat, very loving and affectionate. But he's seriously starting to get on my nerves: 1) Hopping up on the bed at night and walking over my head. 2) Meowing at random in the middle of the night. 3) Clawing (despite cut claws) everything in the house except his three clawing trees. 4) Chewing on anything he can get his mouth on, despite bitter sprays and pepper sprays. (And no, he is not teething).

I'm really about to lose my mind. I am a full time college student and work part time along with other, numerous items needing done in the house every week. I cannot function on only 3-4 hours of sleep a night because of our cat meowing, scratching and jumping all over the furniture all night.
Any suggestions...other than making kitty stew tonight?

Shes my best friend, i love her more then anything but, my mom is having a baby soon. One, my cat hates babies and attacks them. Two, she is REALLY furry and i would have to keep her in my room all the time so she doesnt get fur all over the house and the baby chokes on it. So should i keep her in my room all the time, or should i give her away? How would I find a place to give her where i know she would be taken care of? I have no friends to give her too, i just moved across the country.
