My family just got a new kitten, and he is the most adorable thing ever! The only problem is that the person who gave him to us was away from home for 1 month so the kitten wasn't used to humans. Now he's hiding under the sofa, won't come out for food or water (for 5 hours), and he's scared of us holding him. What can I do??

I've asked a lot of questions concerning the kittens and now you get to see them. They are 3 weeks old and turn 4 weeks old this Tuesday.

The Happy mother! :P

We have two cats.. Killer And Beautiful.. They've always used their litter-boxes properly, and never went on the floor -- until!!!!

Killer was sitting on a pillow, just lying there.. When he got up, the pillow was wet. We saw him the whole time, no water spilled... And we're pretty postotive it was pee - it smelled like it too! Anyway, the litter box was pretty bad, but still useable.. I'm cleaning it out daily now.. but he's usually not picky at ALL.. Could something else be the problem?

I have a 5 year old female cat. She is quite independent, not so much a cuddler, but is a very good girl! When I take her to visit my parents, she is the same - quiet, independent and just does her own thing. For the first time, I took her to my fiance's house (brought her food, litter box, toys, all the fixin's). She was sooooo clingy and wouldn't stop meowing the entire night. Neither my fiance nor I got a wink of sleep. She was starving for attention or something, and I don't know why! She never does this at my house and even when my fiance is over my house, she completely ignores him and doesn't make a peep! What on earth was her problem at his house? He doesn't have any other animals and all of her belongings were there with her! The meowing and crying and constant clingyness drove us both insane! I had to leave at 4 a.m. because I couldn't handle another second of her crying! When I brought her home, she pranced in, and went right to sleep! No peep! I don't get it!

signs of Arthritis? I have an 9 year old cat. He has gone thru alot of his "lives" already, even only has one eye. He doesn't jump up on counter tops anymore and doesn't like me touching his hind legs anymore. Anyone have cats that stopped jumping at an old age...how long after did your cat pass after he or she stopped jumping up on furniture?

Last weekend, i visted with family. They owned a cat. On monday, i noticed some bumps on my arm (there were a lot of mosquitos there that weekend inside the house). Tuesday, i found some more on my legs. Everyday i find more and more bumps all over my legs and feet. I bought some flea spray and a fogger if needed. Am I trippin over a flea problem, or can you agree with me that my house is infested.

The cat is about 5 to 6 months old, and was left on a friend's porch. He has been jumping in our tub and going no. 1 and 2 right by the drain. When we put the litter box in the tub, he went on the other end, away from the drain. We also closed the bathroom doorand put the box in the office, he went in the correct room, but not in the box. We place him in the box ALL THE TIME! Does anyone know a trick? I'm getting fed up.

I read on Pet Connection.com that the stores are relabeling the recalled foods and they are putting new labels over the old labels to make it look like the food is ok. The Article is under their Blog and it is Called " THE FOOD OR JUST THE LABELS.

I have recently got an 8 week old kitten. I was told that she was toilet trained before we brought her home, but since we have got her she isn't using the litter tray. I have followed the advice that I have seen on here before, picked her up and put her in the tray whilst scratching the litter with her paws. We have repeated this quite a few times but as soon as we let her go she walks away. We are also doing this after she has eaten, and repeating it every few minutes or as soon as we see her squating somewhere.
She isn't really using another particular place to go to the toilet - anywhere but the litter tray.
I'm now worried that she is holding it in and not going to the toilet at all making her unwell.
Has anyone got any ideas?

My cat is so nuts. She will try and run up walls..she'll run up this corner area wall and jump and the last second then run up the other wall.
She thinks shes light and she'll run super fast and jump on me..She runs and jumps onto my computer desk really fast then jump off the wall. oh and she also jump on the back of ppl's legs or my legs when we are just walking around.

She is 2 years old. Do you think maybe she is gunna calm down soon.
