i used to have a cat that played allot. It even played football with me and raced with me. I want to know how to make cats very playful! The cat i used to have when i whistle, it would RUN to me and just jump on me and try to play.

Hit up the pet store and get a catnip canvas pillow toy. Then ask them for some advice on other toys.
Believe me, you do NOT need to spend a ton of money on toys. I used my little brother's battery operated remote car to drive my cat nutz.
Kittens play, older cats won't. They need to be given lots and lots of attention and talk to him! Give you and your cat time to adjust and know each other. Quick moving, jerking objects and something a simple as a hand under a blanket scratching so it makes sound and movement. Cats get bored, offer different stimuli to keep them entertained.

You can't force a cat to be playful. A cat is playful on their terms and based on their personality. It can help by having toys that interest your cat and may make them want to play. Not every cat is playful as some just like to be by themselves and sleep. I have 3 male kittens and 2 female cats. 4 of the 5 of them love to play. My oldest female cat likes to be left alone and sleeps much of the day. She likes attention and likes to play only on her time not on ours.

Cats are just like people. Not everyone is super active. If you are trying to make a new cat act like your old, it will NEVER work. Just treasure the fun memories you had with the old one and accept a new one for however it acts.

get one of those things colorful on a string on a stick and playwith it or get a laser and flash it on the wall and floor just watch out for the eyes
