my famliy and I lost our cat about 2mo. ago and we just recently found him a mile away from our house with this lady that gave him food twice a day and brought him inside the house and pretty much loved him for 2mo., and we brought him home right away and let him run around and explore and let him remember the place. He stayed for 2 days and then the lady who was watching him earlier call and said that he had come back !!! So please if anyone knows how to keep him around our house please tell me.

All of my cats are completely indoor, and around 3-4 years old. None have had shots since the first year we got them.

She dosn't care for Catnip. But she smelled the bengay on my knee and she reacted like she would if it were cat nip. I'm afraid she got some on her front feet, just a tiny bit, I tried to wash it off but she wouldn't let me catch her. She rolled around acting real silly just like she was on catnip. She seems to be fine. But she is naping. She responds when I call her. She is acting normal. But I can't help but worry.
I am disabled and I don't drive a car anymore. Should I call the emergency number for the vet?

I have 3 cats. 1 adopted us and we adopted 2 others from the APL. Both cats have rhinotrach, and have given it to the 1st one too. I love all 3, and hate to get rid of them, but the sneezing is getting out of hand. The walls, windows, floors, everywhere! They are just non-stop. I cant locate any info on the disease and was hoping there might be a cure or at least something to give them that would eliminate (or at least reduce) the sneezing. Theyve seen the vet and he has given them liquid penicillin (didnt do a thing) then pills (again, no help). He says the best thing is to seperate them and they get rid of the symptoms ie: the sneezing. We cant keep them in seperate rooms, so they may have to find new homes. Any suggestions or ideas?

I've bought my cat her first collar (it's a breakaway collar), and I'm not sure if it's too tight. I can put on 1 finger in between her neck and the collar and it's snug - but is that too snug? If I give it too much room, she gets it stuck in her mouth...

I do not want to see them be killed. They lay in the middle of the road and do not move for cars.

We have a one-year-old who is obsessed with fetching! We throw coins, paper balls, paint brushes, pencils, you name it, and he will bring it back and "cry" until we throw the object again; this could go on for hours if we allowed it. I'm also starting to be concerned that he is never going to willingly drink from his dish again-- he loves water from the bathroom faucet and cries until he gets to drink. Will he ever chill out?Anyone else have similar issues or does our cat need some psychological help?

My cat has fleas, and I was wondering if there is a risk if I were to bathe the cat in dog shampoo. It's shampoo to get rid of fleas. I think there might be a risk.

My one year old cat has suddenly become scared.

She is a house cat and nothing in the home has changed but she has suddenly became very jumpy and scared.

If you touch her and she was not expecting it then she literally jumps in the air (she never used to do that)

I watched her walk downstairs last night and she kept looking in all directions all over each stair walking really slowly looking really worried.

We have a kitten that we got in March and she has excepted her well, they play together, wash each other etc so it can't be that.

I thought there may be something wrong with her eyes but when she and the kitten have a mad turn they are belting about all over the place without bumping into things.

I hate to see her like this and cannot understand what is wrong .... and sensible suggestions would be very much appreciated.

He's all white except for a little black "smudge" on his forhead. He's got bigg-ish ears. He's a short hair with a "rat" like tail. His eyes look green/brown but I'm not sure if they will change when he gets older. Anyone know what type of cat I have?

I have an 8-month old spayed Calico female kitten. She is usually a loving and tame cat, but lately she is becoming aggressive. She won't stop biting and scratching me and my husband. We've tried telling her "NO", we've tried squirting her with water.

How can we train her to stop doing this? My husband says if she keeps this up we will have to get rid of her but I don't want to do that because I am attached to her. She has been here most of her life, from 7 weeks old on.

What tips can you give me to get her to stop this nasty behaviour?

Hence my cat can't get used to this way of living as he is use to a big house with a garden, he keeps running away and getting back to the old house. What can I do to get him used to living here.

I adopted my kittens from an animal shelter that had spayed them the day before I took them home; a staff member told me to give my kittens the antibiotics every 12 hours. Unfortunately I neglected to ask for how long. In addition, the area around the stitches is mildly swollen on both of my girls. can anyone help this first-time owner?
