i saw your question and had to answer im a certified veterinary assistant and the biggest misconception with cats or any animal really is they cant have milk very bad for digestive system do not give them any be careful to read ingredients of cat food cause some do contain it. ticks me off.looked through my notes gave nothing on cats but i would assume pretty much the same with dogs, increase food after 4 weeks especially fats. and in fact you might want to start her on kitten food much higher vitamin content and just keep a good eye on here if you noticed any radical changes call your local vet good luck contact me if you need further advice

You should feed your pregnant cat good quality kitten food now and after she has given birth - until the kittens are weaned at 5-6 weeks. This is full of the extra vitamins and minerals she needs for her and the kittens to be healthy.
If you feed her the Whiskas milk you are feeding her a totally unnecessary item and it will fill her up so she wont eat what is good for her

The Pet food industry would love it if you did - These surplus foods are totally un - necessary and a major contributor to the increasing obesity rates of pets. My two cats have had four litters between them - I didn't feed them anything different - just made sure there there was a constant supply of food for them to eat as and when they wanted. All kittens born healthy and no need for a vet. Human food has already become dangerously over - processed and we eat far to much of what we don't need. But the industry needs to get it's profits somehow and the pet food industry is no different.

Yes,if she likes it,but kitten milk replacer would be even better for her,and then you would have it on hand in case you need to bottle feed any of the kittens. You should feed the mother cat kitten food, too. And then, after the kittens are weaned, please consider getting the mother and the kittens fixed;there are SO many unwanted cats in this world,it's a pity.

do not give cats regular milk in general...milk can give cats and kittens extreme bowel issues. so dont do that...you shouldnt give a pregnant cat milk ...you should give her good food like science diet..only the dry food. and when the kittens arrive..give them the milk thats made specifically for kittens..but get it at a store like petco or petsmart since only those are truly safe. until they are weaned..like 5 weeks..then start to feed them either wet food or dry food ...better off with dry food since its more crude protein for them. they might not like it at first but will start to get used to it.

do NOT give your preg. cat milk.
just feed her a good nutritious cat food.
her body will adjust and when the babies are born she will eat the placenta which triggers her milk glands to produce.
she will be just fine! watching her give birth will be beautiful!

you can give her canned milk (it's cheaper) but don't give her any cow's milk, which I'm sure you know. also, what is her favorite food? i have one cat who hates milk, but loves chicken and tuna. my other cat loves salmon. you can give your cat canned salmon, cooked and boneless chicken, a can of plain tuna, warm canned milk, or you can pour canned milk on her dry cat food and warm that up. I'm poor, and i had 5 cats, 3 of whom were pregnant who lived on my porch, as well as my two cats and two dogs inside, and that is what i fed them when it was cold or they were pregnant. i hope this helps....congratulations!!!!

no.... my cat gets along fine without the extra stuff,,, but you can I guess.... When she births... and if she doesn't take care of them try giving the kitties that to drink... i have bottle fed kitties so it would be hard at first... you'd be surprised how strong they are...
