I'm fostering a siamese mom with five kittens. She was growling at them when they went to nurse, so I looked at her belly. The nipples are so raw they don't appear to have skin left where the babies were nursing. Is there anything I can put on them to make her feel better (and hopefully let the kits nurse)?

I found a kitten under my truck today, and I'm wondering how to care for it? It doesn't seem to walk well, she sort of drags her back legs. Her nose seems bloody, and she can't eat or drink by herself. Of course, no one is open now (Human Society, SPCA etc.)
Will she sleep through the night? Is there anything I can feed her, that I would have at my house? Or should I just hope she'll be ok until I take her to the vet ot SPCA in the morning?

I'm 25 wks prego. After me & my bf broke up I kept his cat. He wouldn't come & pick her up. In fact, I never really bothered trying to give her back to him & he didn't either, not that I would have answered the phone if he called... I have a 1 br apt & he MADE me get the cat. She used to belong to my Mom & now he has his OWN place & he's not allowed to have pets. The prob is that his cat has 3 legs... Who would want a cat w/ 3 legs ? My bf has mentioned killing her :( :$ He said that that would be quick. I hope he's not serious bout it ! She got her leg amputated when she was 9 mos old. She's 2 now. She's also very fast. She got all of her shots & is a housecat. She's never really been outside, even as a kitten. We got her when she was 5 wks old (not old enough to leave her mom). My bf isn't willing to find her a home. Well, he's not trying anyway... I've thought of putting her on bargain bin. (e-mail, too shy to phone) & to give HIS # out...not that he'd answer... Ugh.

I let my female cat into my backyard because she was howling deeply by the door, because she's in heat and wanted to go outside. An hour later I look outside and theres my neighbors' huge Tomcat sitting next to her. I dont know how old he is, but my cat is a year old. I watched them for about 20 minutes and he would try to move near her everytime he did that she jumped away from him. She meowed at him a couple times, but she would just sit there and it seemed like she was teasing him. This is the second cat thats been trying to mate with her during her heat cycle. Not since before her first birthday [the second] she had never become in contact with another cat since july of last year and that was her siblings. WHY WONT SHE JUST LET THEM HAVE IT??

We just got a mixed kitten from a friend and she is absolutely adorable. I'm wondering what the definition of Tabby Point is. They did name her as that color for her on her papers at the vet. Her mother is a tabby, and the father is a Siamese, and she's a beautiful light cream color with some gray on her tail, pale grey ears, and some light striping on her legs, which actually is like a carmel color. What's the difference between a "Tabby Point Siamese" and just a mixed cat that is half tabby/ half Siamese. Any difference?

I have 6, 3 week old kittens and unfortunately I do not have air conditioning in my house and I was wondering if it is ok to give them some cold water if they will drink it to cool them off. I notice them panting a lot also, I have fans blowing around them but not on them, so please let me know if it is alright to do this

He spreads the diarrea around the house while I'm at work. He hasn't eaten much for the past couple days either. He just started going outside in the past 3 weeks cuz he was a 100% indoor cat. He has also aquired a "pissy" attitude. What can I give him or what can I do to make this stop????

My new cat hid under the hideaway couch when he arrived yesterday, and now I can't find him. Could he have made himself a spot in the folded up hideaway part of the couch? I'm nervous about trying to open it up to see if he's there because I don't want to hurt him, and I know that I should leave him alone to adjust to his new home. But, I'm worried that he might be stuck. Thanks -

Okay, I really, REALLY, want a cat or a kitten (of course I would adopt it from an animal shelter). My mom says no because she says I dont help around and take care of the dog I already have, but I DO! She also said my dog would get upset, but I know it wouldn't, I loved my neighbors cat. And its not like this would be the first cat we had, our first cat my parents got before I was born it died when it was 12 like 4 or 5 years ago. How could I convince my mom to let me get a cat??

my simese cat, his name is Fat Head. Went outside wednesday about 8 oclock as he does every night. He came back in at 9:30. He seemed fine except he was meowing more than usual. About 30 minutes later he started throwing up white foam, his eyes were rolling in the back of his head & he was having a hard time standing or walking. We called the vet imediatley. The following morning we took him to the vet. He stayed at the vet for 3 days & we still dont know what is wrong. The vet took x rays ( bone&bladder) several blood test were run & still the vet dosent know what is wrong. All the test state he is a healthy cat. Today I brought him home. He still can not walk. His only symptoms now is he seems exausted & has no balance. He walks as if he is whisky drunk. His eyes are better & he is purring. Does anyone know what may have happened to my baby? Do cats have strokes?

My cat loves to lick everything you have on your plate or drink. (Basicly acts like a dog when you are getting food.) What are some safe foods to let her have at it? What are some foods we should make sure she avoids?

A few days ago I realized my indoor/outdoor cat had fleas. ANd he still has them. We ordered more Frontline, but it won't get here for another week. I just gave him a regular bath and brushed him a lot. But there's still fleas. Is there any treatments or at home remedies I can perform to get rid of them in the meantime??

ALSO- before I knew he had fleas, he slept in my bed with me. And he continues taking naps there. Am I safe?

I belong to thecatsite, and some people there are totally opposed to ever giving their cats any Fancy Feast. One of my cats refuses to eat much of anything else BUT that. (He does nibble dry food sometimes.) I only give him one little can a day, spread out over the day.

Does anyone else use Fancy Feast?
