I found a 5 or 6 week old kitte, It has something leaking out of its butt, all down its legs. It smells like it is dead. It is gross, but I want to help him. Can anyone help?

I gave the kitten some worm medicine last night and this morning it had pooped some worms, and it is acting like it feels better!!! I think it may just have worms.

The best thing you can do for that kitten is to get to a vet asap! Sounds like an infection......

It needs to see a vet A.S.A.P.
First off, 5 or 6 weeks is too young for it to be away from it's mom. It needs a supplemental formula that you can get at the vets office. But it DEFINITELY needs to see a vet if it isn't too late already!!!!

Get to the vet right away. If your regular vet is not available, then get the kitten to an emergency vet. Do NOT wait. Kittens do not have a lot of reserves, and go downhill fast. This needs immediate care!

ooohhh You need to get it to the vet. I found a kitty with the same problem 2 years ago. It was very sick and ended up dying. I'm not sure what it was, I think it was lukemia. Hopefully that's not the problem with your kitty, but if you want to help it you should take it to a vet and get it tested to find out what you can do to save it. Please post a comment when you find out what it is.
Please dont take it to a pet store, it could get other animals sick!

That sounds terrible! Sounds like you should take him/her to the vet, or to the pet store to see what's wrong. It is still playing around, right? It's definetly not dead, right?

oh,this happened to my kitten,take it to the vet right away.I made the mistake of not getting little Fuzzball to the vet.TT-TT.Just please take her to the vet right away it is fatal if left untreated.It is an illness or diesease.Look on the source list for the website.For your kittys sake,take it to the vet.

What I think is wrong is that it is new born and that it has a strange leakage out of its butt because it is just probably it just doing its number 2
