I'll assume that you rescued a kitten that you didn't know was pregnant. Kudos to you for rescuing. I just feel so bad that some moron let this poor cat outside at all, much less not fixed. : (

She should be good to go in about 4 weeks. But, bring everyone into the vet soon and talk to the vet about it then, to be sure.

And please, have the kittens fixed as soon as they are old enough. Even an early spay/neuter would be better than trusting that new owners will do it.

Kittens can get spayed as young as 6 months. I'm hoping your kitten is in good health, as 8 months is very young to be having kittens herself. You can spay her any time after she's had her kittens. The sooner, the better.

The health benefits of spaying far outweigh the results of not spaying.

You can have her spayed as soon as the kittens are weaned, so about six weeks. I'm in a similar situation and planned to have her done once the last kitten is rehomed, check with your vet as to how soon you can do it, but I think it's okay once the kittens are gone and she's no longer nursing them.

Hope this helps

As soon the kittens are 6 weeks old. I would get her in to be spayed.

Get her spayed as soon as possible, before she has a chance to go into heat, mate, and have another litter of kittens.

she can breed right after having the kittens.
Keep her and teh kittens in side.
when teh kittens get to 4 weeks old start to wean them with moistened kitten food about soup lik consistancy TAke mom away at night and give the mix after 15 minutes let mom in to nurse and do this several times a day.. At 5 weeks make it thicker start leaving water down mom only needs to be with tehm about every 5 hours and out at night. At 6 weeks barely moisten and leave dry food down mom in only in teh morning and at night.
At 7 weeks Dry food only no mom. Call teh vet an set the appointment inn about a week to let her dry up.
Good luck

It is 'spayed' ... not 'sprayed'!!!!

Get her fixed right away, as soon as the kittens are weaned. There are far too many unwanted kittens in the world :( She is old enough. Above all, DON'T let her out again before she is spayed, or it will happen all over again.

You would have to wait until she has weaned her kittens to get her spayed, if she hasn't already. I would do it right away. She could get pregnant again at any time.

she can be spayed as soon as she stops lactating. she will go back .into heat before you can count your ten fingers. spaying provides a much more content life for a female cat and extends the years she will be with you. hope this helps

Spay her right after she weans those kittens. Otherwise you could end up with a new litter.
