Studies have shown that having a pet, not just a cat, can help relieve stress and ease depression. People with pets, especially ones that can be handled (i.e. cat, dog, rabbit..) have lower blood pressure readings after being with their pet. I volunteered with our local Humane Society as a teen, and I did some help with the pet therepy. We took small ( lap sized) dogs, cats, and a couple of rabbits to some of the nursing homes. The residents took turns holding and petting the animals. The looks on their faces was priceless.

I think they are, unless of course you happen to be allergic. I've had cats for as long as I can remember (I'm 28) and don't think I would be able to live without them. They are the best pet to own. They are proven to lower your blood pressure for starters. Mine greet me when I come home, sleep with me at night, comfort me when I am sad and do silly things to make me laugh. They never judge you or criticize you and love you just for who you are, faults and all. It is the best kind of uncondtional love you could ever have the joy of receiving. If that isn't beneficial to one's health, I don't know what is.

I even have 2 cats. One isn't cuddly except she gets in that temper of wanting affection. She'll then start up purring and "nesting" and rubbing against one human beings. the different is finicky with whom she cuddles with and that is extra often than not with me. She follows me from room to room from time to time just to work out if i might take a seat or lay down for a at the same time as so as that she would be precise there. in actuality i'm shocked that she's not precise now sitting below my table. She could be going potty. besides, that is comforting to comprehend that she loves me plenty. She might detect a hiding place if I have been long gone for long alongside with while i replaced into interior the well being center. as quickly as I got here domicile I talked approximately as her call and she or he got here understanding. Awww, she loves me. :) ok, so I in simple terms replaced my photograph with the aid of fact that is cat classification day right this moment. it is my cat Noodle. She's the single that loves me plenty.

Yes, loving a pet cat can lower blood pressure, lift spirits, fight lonliness, give you a reason to get out of bed, make you laugh, get shy people to talk to each other, lull you to sleep with purring, the more time you spend with the cat the more they give back like doing tricks and just sitting with you quietly when you need a good cry. I think you get the idea.

any animal is good. dogs you walk, horses you ride and cats can help you when you are stressed. by stroking the cat, it helps calm you down. even if you don't feel stressed or nerves. if you are depressed you know you have to feed and water your pet, because they need you to do this for them. they need you as much as you need them.
