Heres whats up i had a cat for 3 years and she passed away in october. I want to get another cat but my parents said no but i had asked my dad today he said its ok if my mom says it is. The issue is my mom really dont want me to, i think she thinks im not going to take care of it. When i had my other cat she was sick and i stopped cleaning up after her because she had blood everwhere and it scared me, but i really want one i miss having a cat around the house. so can any of you give me and tips or any idea's of convincing my mom thank you so much.

my 12 year old cat is losing her hair on the sides of her back legs and also she has lost weight, but olny on her lower back near her tail...she heavy when you pet her untill you get to the bottom of her back.. does anyone know what might be wrong untill i get her to the vet?

My 2year old cat Xomara went to the Banfield vet on Sat. I put her on their Optimum Wellness plan so they decided to do a thorough exam. She is a very aggressive cat when people try to hold her. So the vet suggested for her to be sedated and I gave my consent. I left her there and came back 4 hrs later. The vet told me they had to "extract" urine and fecal matter from her to do exams. So okay everything turned out fine except for yeast in her ears.
It has been two days and she has hardly eaten anything. She sleeps all the time (more than her usual) and her favorite toys in the world can even get her out of the stump. She seems extremely depressed but I don't know what to do. She's my baby and I feel like calling the vet and telling them off. If she was sedated how can she be traumatized so badly?

We live on a quiet road and have a garden, so basically there's no problem with having our cats outside. They're both lovely, affectionate cats but whereas Izzie hangs out with us all the time, Maud eats and leaves - she basically only comes inside to eat and to sleep (on our pillows...) We don't think that she has another place to go as she's very skittish around new people, and is usually within calling distance. She loves to have a cuddle, and she's a lovely cat - we'd just like to see more of her without restricting her independence - any suggestions?

I just got a job, and I'm going to get my cat fixed and put a chip in him, but does it really work, and will thier be some risk of him haveing that in him?? His name is JJ , and he's my baby and I want the best for him, will he know it's in thier, and If he does get lost , how will they know , there is a chip in him , and who he belongs to??

My three cats (I have a male siamese, a female ragamuffine, and a female maine coon) have to be the best cats in the world. We love them so much and they are soooo very spoiled! They have me and the kids wrapped around their paws. Anyone else suffer from this affliction?

one of the pet advicer told me not to put the litter tray in the toilet ,,,as its not hygenic ,,,,,she explained , its not hygenic for the cat and for myself ?...where else can i place it ? i hv got carpet everywhere exept the toilet ,,,,and i dont have a store room etc,,,,i cant put her tray in my room.

I have two cats that are brothers and they are 16 years old! One of them is sick and isn't eating very much! But he is drinking and he isn't even 8 pounds What do i do? I am only 14! They were born a little before my mom and dad got married and they are the only animals we have ever had! And now its almost time for them to go! Do you think i will get over it easy! There my total life! I don't want to lose them! Just thinking of them dieing makes me cry!
