I found an orphan kitten last week, still can't walk properly, and I was just wondering:

1. How to find out the age of the kitten?
2. I brought him to the clinic, and the vet gave me an immune liquid which I fed him twice a day according to the directed amount, and powdered milk, every 2 hours. When should I start giving him dry food?
3. Until now, I only feed him milk, but it pooped today 2-3 times, and they were liquid poo. Is it normal that he starts to poop like that, and had only a small amount of milk today? Should I take him to the vet?
4. He starts to smell really bad. Should I do something about it?

I'm really lost in this. I want to make sure the kitten grows up healthy :(

my cat used to get all the attention, and since we had our baby a week ago, he's been acting strange. Twice in the last week, my wife went to stroke him and when she stopped and walked away, he chased her and tried to scratch her!

He has never done this before. Anyone had similar problems?

I just moved to a farm and don't have a regular garage to park in. I'm NOT a fan of cats in the first place so if I can't get some good answers - - the 22 rifle will have to do. (mousetraps are much easier to deal with)

For the past 4 months, my neighbors cat has wandered the neighborhood...and EVERY MORNING I come out to my car and see a fresh set of paw prints all over my car!!!

Each and every morning, I discover that this cat spent the evening walking all over my car. I can't imagine the havoc this is causing my paint job.

I've talked to them several times, and asked them to keep their cat indoors...all to no avail.

So, I went out and purchased a squirrel trap (the guy told me this is a humane way to trap cats)...I put some tuna fish in the trap and low and behold I found the cat in there yesterday morning.

I knocked on the neighbors door w/ the trap in hand, but they weren't home. So I left the trap w/ detailed instructions on how to open it on their doorstep so when they got home they could get their cat out.

Well, they were ANGERED with me to the point where they threatened physical violence. I didn't want it to come to this, so how can I correct this situation?

My male (neutered) cat has hat a recent change in the order of his urine. It is so strong that you can smell it across 2 floors in my home.

No changes in his diet and he was neutered over 7 years ago. The change in the order just changed last week. I watched him for UTI symptoms and I have not seen anything out of the ordinary.

Any advice?

(NOT "and nothing else.")

A bit fell on the floor while I was making soup recently; it got gobbled up. So did more that was deliberately left in the bowl.

We have a bit of a plant-chewing problem with one of the two (though they'll both eat the chard), so I'm inclined to keep garnishing their food with greens.

Their dry food is this stuff:

http://www.bluebuff.com/products/cats_in...

Note "Healthy Fresh Veggies & Fruit – Whole carrots, sweet potatoes, parsley and cranberries contain phytonutrients..." -- apparently, not enough.

No digestive problems have turned up; litterbox habits, etc, are the same.

Are there any particular people greens that cats shouldn't eat, though?

She is crying, scratching at the door and windows to get out (she is an indoor cat though)... I am going to spay her, they say to BEFORE the first heat, but she went into it earlier than most (about 4.5- 5 months old now!)
Anything I can do, or shouldn't be doing to help her through this? I have been petting her, mostly the neck and head area... but also some along the small of her back ( this makes her even more crazy... figured it is probably BAD to do whilst she is in heat.) Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

Who would win. I watched a wildlife programme at the weekend, about the big cats, but the answer was not given. They both seem to respect each others terrortories, but if they had a fight, who would win?

I have two cats, aged 14 months, and they have had 3 kittens, born 24th Dec 2006. The kittens are very active now, running around and playing, but the past two days or so they have been crapping in the kitchen. I thought the Mom Cat would train them with the litter tray. Also, when do I have to help with weaning?

I took a stray kitty I found to the vet after my friends dog chased it down. He was bleeding all over the place with huge wounds. Not knowing if it was the dog that did it or not, I felt responsible and paid a 600 dollar vet fee for surgery.
Hes doing fine now.. stiches have recovered and all his hair has grown back. He is still very shy and timid .. never lets me pet him.
My husband is in the navy, and while I love the cat, I cant help but think I should give him away. In about a year my husband will be getting stationed elsewhere, we are hoping in Japan and we coudlnt possibly bring the cat.
With all the cats in humane soceity and him not liking to be touched, im scared he will never find a good home. Most people prefer a kitten. Since he is still small should I give him away now for a better chance for a good home? I dont think he could survive back in the wild, after being with us so long.

She was a loving burmese, v affectionate kitten. Now she bites herself and her sister and won't let anyone come near her. She has been like this for 2 days and keeps hiding in the corners of the room. She looks v angry and her ears are always flattened. Is this normal and is there anything I can do???

Ducky is very affectionate, especially at night before I go to bed. She rubs up against my hands and such. I begin to pet her, but she starts to bite me between strokes. I figure she doesn't want to be pet anymore so I stop. However, when I stop petting her she bites me again and continues to rub up against me. What does this mean?

I'd really prefer to just go to the vet's office to get it but I know how all vets, doctors and dentists are they pretty much want all ur money.
But I still want the best for my cat. she's my baby!
(maybe i'll call several vets ahead of time to ask if i can just for now get the pro hairball rem)
but for future ref., is there actually a good hairball stuff for felines, or should one stear clear away from all that over the counter stuff. I don't need my cat getting sick ya know.

How do i know if my clippers are sharp enough? When i cut my kitten's nails, they make more of a crunching noise than a clipping noise and also the claw looked a bit rough and split instead of cleanly cut... hmm is it just me or the clippers? Also how far should you cut on the claw? i know that you aren't supposed to cut the pink part... are you only supposed to cut the VERY tip or can you go a bit farther (as long as its not the pink part)?

My cat has a weird habit. She really likes to knock things down, she is constantly batting things (like pens, chapstick, my glasses, and other things off of my desk and dresser. I am not sure why she likes to do this so much, it is pretty funny though. Does your cat do silly things like this?

If I put one on him, no matter how tight, he gets out of it. If he cannot, he gets it as far as his mouth, like a bit in a horse's mouth, then he panics and uses his claws - resulting in blood everywhere! What can I do? I want to put a flea collar on him, they've become a real problem for him and nothing else is working to get rid of them.
