My kitten , Bon Bon (six months old, boy), has been throwing up recently, my other kitten, Chata ( about ten months old, girl) also started to throw up. i don't know what to do. They've been throwing up what they eat, it is the same color of their food, could it be the new food they started to eat? they eat dry food, i tried giving them Whiskas a few months ago but they got diarrhea, now they're eating Purina. They don't seem sick, they play, run, and been eating and driking water like always, but i guess they can't digest the new food, should i change them back to their normal food (Friskies)?

This is not meant to be a sick question. I have a cat, and since Sunday 2:40 in the morning he has be throwing up. He's thrown up about four big piles and about six small spots in the past two days. Also, he won't eat anything. And the last problem is that he cannot poop. He can pee just fine and there's no blood. But I've noticed that he's tried to poop at least four times and was not able to. He has a vet appointment at eight in the morning tomorrow on Wednesday. I just want to make sure that since he hasn't been eating for the past two days that he'll be okay tonight. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have two cats and just recently got another kitten about two days ago. The first two are still not use to the newcomer and one of them still hisses at her. How long will it take for them to get use to each other and become "friends"?

I have a cat of 11 years - senior - yes, exceptionally old - no. His health hasn't been good for few months now and we've been going to the vet fairly often in the last 2 to 3 months. His symptoms were major weight loss (from 16lbs to 10lbs), peeing inappropriately and vomitting. The blood samples and ultrasound revealed some sort of liver failure (it is undersized but they don't know much more than that) and hyper-thyroidism. I've been giving him various medications which he resists or throws up. Giving him meds is stressing but so is the idea of putting him down. I worry about what this environment (physical & emotional) is doing for my 3 year old and my pregnancy. Should I put him down? Should I be there if I do or let my husband instead?

FYI we recently took him off the meds when we thought we would be putting him down. He did well for about 3 days but now is back to vomitting once or twice a day.

I have a indoor/outdoor cat and lately I've noticed that the inside of his mouth tastes like a different brand of cat food than I've been giving him. Do you think he's eating food at another house and eating here like in that Stove Top commercial?

hi--i just moved into a new place in tennessee and the floors kind of needed to be refinished. my two cats, mittens and mr. snickers, are strickly indoors cats, and so i couldn''t put them out while the floors got done but locking them up seemed mean. so instead i tied a bunch of heliom balloons to them so they could just kind of float wherever they want in the house. one of the stupid home depot guys said the fumes was getting to him though and left the front door open to air the house and mr. snickers sort of drifted out the door when no one was looking, and got his ballons tangled high up in a tree and now hes just dangling there. i tried popping them with a pellte gun but missed and he yowled some, so i don't want to do that again. how else can i get him down? he's too high for a ladder to reach!

About 2 wks age my cat ingested foam craft stamps and vomited for 2 days. Took him to animal ER on 1-19, bld wrk & xray normal. He was "back to normal until this past Friday. He vomited in the am after eating. Fri and Sat nights vomited dark green liquid. Has not eaten since. Yesterday vet gave steroid to increase appetite. Refused food, dry and canned. Drank minimal chicken broth from cooked, pureed breast. Today he ate 1oz baby food (lamb). Refused repeated offering throughout the day. Offered chicken broth--refused. He has urinated 1x each of the last 3 days; no bm's. Going to vet tomorow am. I am unaware if he ingested any foreign objects with this recent occurence.

I tried implementing another 7 month old, but it was to no avail, my 7 year old kept feeling left out and even didnt sleep well, so i took the kitten back to the shelter..

Whats so strange is that last night my 7 year old out of no where began playing on my bed and running around meowing as if she was playing with my cat that recently passed..

Can my alive cat see or play with the spirit cat of the one that passed away? I know its a stupid question but do you think she can see her?

on other male cats, he does not seem to be bothered by them but their seems to be getting more on his body, his fur is really shiny and he is a generally healthy cat. I thought it could be tics or flea bite scabs, can anyone shed any light on this and how to get rid of them?

I just adopted a cat three days ago, and for the past two nights, he won't shut up. He's a pretty vocal cat, but he was basically quiet in the evening. As soon as the lights go out, this cat won't shut up. I haven't been able to sleep in two days because of the howling. Is he just getting used to things? Will he grow out of this phase? Any tips on what I should do? I won't be able to keep him if he keeps this up? Please help!

I have an 10 gallon aquarium on a stand and my cat keeps jumping on top and trying to get at the fish, and also knocking in the lid for my filter. How can I keep him from jumping up there?

I was planning on getting a kitten for my mom but we already have a female cat. I heard that cats get along better if they are of the opposite sex. Is that true? My cat is very sweet but before we got her (when my sister had her) she was very mean but I think that was because she was an outside cat and now she is always inside.
So would it be better if I got a male kitten, or does it not matter?

Also, what would be the best way to introduce them? We were recently babysitting a male cat for about 2 months and when he first arrived we just let him be and they eventually started playing with each other. Should I just let them do whatever or bring them into my room and slowly let them sniff each other while comforting both of them?

I've heard some stories that it's bad to leave a cat unfixed. The previous owners of our kitty didn't spay her until she was 2.

I know that dogs can develop breast cancer if you don't fix them young, but I don't know how it can affect cats.
