I have a 6 month old kitten that I got from a woman who rescues kittens. She has been confined to my bedroom so that she can get used to a small space. She is in need of shots and spaying, but I can't get her into the cat carrier. I have tried everything from putting food in there to Rescue Remedy. She is warming up to me slowly, but she is VERY timid. Can someone help me?

Every spring I take my kitty in for a summer shave and would like to buy clippers to do this myself. I want a pair that will make this job the easiest as possible. Although it's only January, his fur is matting out of control.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have this cat, who I bottle fed, and he seems to have play aggresion. He bits and scratches me almost everyday, and now I have a baby. Is there any way to help him get over this w/out putting him down or getting rid of him? And he is neutered.

I hear that in some Asian culture there's a thing where people put kittens in some sort of bowl or sphere. The cat grows and fills the bowl like a furry toy and the owner feeds it with a straw. Is that true? Point me to some articles or pictures if you can/if it is.

My cat is 6 years old now and he loves to lay down with me and suck in my pinky finger. I was told he would stop doing it when he became an adult cat but he hasn't stopped. I love that he does it, but is it bad in any way?

My cat is a stray that I started feeding about 1 year ago. He is healthy now as I have gotten his shots and vaccinactions.
He gets into a lot of fights with this big orange cat which I don't know if it's a male or female. It's always trying to eat his food.
He is mainly an outside cat because I don't like litter boxes. I let him in while I'm home during the evenings and in the winter I let him stay in until I leave for work at 6am.

I've noticed lately when he goes out he goes across the street to the neighbors driveway, up it and to the back of their house. I went back there one day to investigate but didn't see anything interesting or anywhere that he could go like under their house.

For the past few days he's been gone for 2 days/nights straight. He came home yesterday because he was starving. Right after he ate he was ready to go back outside. He sat on the porch and meowed weirdly like these long heavy meows. There were a lot of birds in the yard.

Do you use speciality brands( ex: science diet, nutro) or store bought(meow mix, purina)?
My cat has eaten nutro brand since a kitten(he is now 3) but suddenly stopped eating it. We had some purina natural food and he gobbled it up.
I don't want to give it to him if it's bad for him but I do need him to eat!

I just got my kitty cat from being spayed. Yes, she is quite active. The vet assitant I talked to this morning, said to lock her in a cage or a room to keep her from jumping if I leave the house. I have to leave for about an hour. She has been really happy to be home and has been doing some jumping already. I do not want to lock her in a room, did anyone do that when they had their kitty spayed?

Thanks so much!

I got a cat a few years ago. I couldn't take him with me to my new place because they didn't allow pets. So my dad took her. He has had her now for the past 3 years. He decided to move out of town. We can't decide what would be easier on the cat. I am living in a place where i can keep her now but I don't know if she is used enough to me for me to take her or if my dad should take her with him because she is used to him. I always go to my dads so its not like she doesn't know me at all. I just don't know. I am willing to listen to any advise anyone might have.

I apparently have to bottle feed the newborn kittens every two hours, and earlier on one of the kittens snorted out a bit of milk through his nose. Should I be worried about this? And regarding bottlefeeding kittens, have any tips for a new surrogate mother?

Its got so bad as adult cats that i now have to make sure there is no plastic left about or they will chew them! They dont touch cheap thin carrier bags..only thick plastic ones! Touch wood to date they are both healthy..lol

I have 2 cats both females, spayed, one is the resident the other is a newbie. The resident cat was declawed from her previous owner. They are in the introduction stage with the new cat in her "safe room". They coo at eachother and play paws under the door. When I do let them interact the resident cat will pounce, bat at the new cats tail then they roll around and fight, theres no hissing, growling and rarely and noises made also their tails arent tuffed. Would they just be playing? We are really concermed sincve the new cat has claws....

She is really small and skinny. She needs my help.. I took her to the vet and he gave her some medicine.. He said that flea powder can clear her from the fleas in 2 or 3 days.. But worms are not going away.. i am giving her pill about it... But i dont know when will the worms be gone? Coz its sort of disgusting :((

I have 2 kittens that are approximately 5 months old, and today I found a cat tooth in their food dish. Do I have to take them to the vet for this? I don't even know what cat the tooth came from?
