Yes they are great cats and very affectionate!
Cats have amazing gene patterns. Your cat -- most often called an Orange Tabby or Marmalade Tabby has a few unique traits. Orange tabbies are most often born male (upwards of 80% of the time); tend to be on the large end of the domestic cat (above 14 pounds); and are very people oriented.
They also tend to purr at the drop of a hat, but beyond that are not noted as being very vocal.
Sounds like you and your cat make a purrfect match (I know...bad, but I just had to say that)! --Andy

My Kitten (Sheldon) develop into in basic terms 3 months as quickly as I accompanied him, and he develop into so enormous that my father and that i assumed he develop into six months previous. he's very almost seven months, now, and his ft are nonetheless particularly enormous. I even have 2 different woman cats, one is a manx tabby pass, the different is a manx Siamese, and he's already the comparable length as the two females. Abby (Orange tabby manx) is the mummy of the Siamese manx (Dusty) and that they the two weigh in around 13 pounds (manx cats are usually lots greater than commonly used American breed cats) and Sheldon (silverhaired Tabby) is around 13 pounds. i think of it may might desire to do with the quantity of nutrition they consume, and the nutrition interior the nutrition. My reasoning at the back of this, is that the girls continuously go away a sprint bit nutrition of their dishes, and yet Sheldon (kitten) will virtually no longer even bite his nutrition, leaving the nutrition dishes empty. For a whilst i assumed that my canines have been eating the cat nutrition, until I watched Sheldon consume 3 overfilled nutrition dishes!

I also have a male tabby. He's a Mackerel Tabby but he's not
quite as large as yours. Bugzee is very cuddly and loveable
all around. He loves to sleep on me at night.
