i agree with taking the cat to the vet. my cat was just doing this for like a week then she started peeing blood. i took her to the vet the morning after the blood started. she had a UTI. I don't know if the vet could have diagnosed it without the peeing blood bit tho so you might wanna just wait it out a little longer.

Vomiting food is a symptom and can be caused by a number of things. Obviously it is not good for the cat with stomach acids constantly going through his esophagus, to say nothing of the fact that his food is not being digested so it's of no use to his body.
You need to have the cat examined by a vet to get some idea of what might be going on. Don't delay about it either. Your cat's health and life are in your hands.

It could be food allergies, but it could also be a bladder infection, as they make cat's vomit. You should definitely have him checked out to be safe. It also depends on what kind of food you feed him, sometimes it's just the type of food. One of my cat's pukes up Purina indoor formula every time. If you changed foods recently, this, too, could be the problem.

if you can afford a vet great do that. other wise make sure there water dish is really clean,no soap left overs (smell it) change there water a lot so its fresh and cold and PLEASE get a high quality food that doesnt have corn, meat byproducts, meat digest or anything like that as any of the 1st 4 ingrediants. They will eat less, and there are no fillers, colors, or preservatives which is what usually the cat is throwing up.It costs a bit more but since they eat less it really balances out

Mine does that sometimes, is he throwing up dry or wet food? If it's dry, my vet told me to use a plate instead of a bowl and I got him Pro Plan hairball formula, it is a flat food that doesn't have rough edges. My cat eats like a pig and rarely chews his food good that's why he throws up. Give him less food and watch him when he eats, may be the problem. If it's wet food, maybe he's allergic.

I have seven cats they all throw up and look at me like it is my gift. Do notworry unless the cat looses weight. Then take him to a vet.
