I have 2 kittens that are approximately 5 months old, and today I found a cat tooth in their food dish. Do I have to take them to the vet for this? I don't even know what cat the tooth came from?

They both seem to be acting and eating normally and not bothered by it at all

Hi there again...kittens begin to lose their deciduous (baby) teeth for adult teeth around the ages of 5-7 months.

I hope the kittens are doing well on the Innova EVO.

Cats lose all of their decididuous (baby) teeth between 4-5 months old. The "fang" tooth comes out at almost exactly 5 months old. It is pushed out by the adult tooth. This is absolutely nothing to worry about. The front teeth are so tiny you probably won't find them, but the fangs and molars will occasionally show up in places unless they are swallowed. Don't waste money on a vet bill.

Kittens lose their baby teeth, just like we do. Nothing to worry about. I have kittens about 6 months old who have lost maybe 5 baby teeth between the two of them. Their permanent teeth will come in within the next year or so.

Cat's have baby teeth just like humans, so they will be fine. My kitten is about 6 months old, and she loses teeth and grows new ones all the time.

LOL @ the other answer to take them to the vet. Its a milk tooth hun, perfectly fine. They do fall out, and the permanant ones come back. Only reason you would need to take her to the vet is if there was bleeding that won't stop.

No your kitty will be fine, my cat had a took fall out when he was about the same age, and he was fine, in fact another tooth came in to replace to lost tooth. Dont worry or go to the vet unless your kitty stops eating or shows other signs that something may be wrong.

It should be fine. Kittens lose their baby teeth, just like human babies do. It's no big deal. Most of the time we can't even find their teeth when they come out.

Your kitten will be fine. This was just a baby tooth. An adult tooth will soon replace it.
