Why would you want to do that to your kitty? It is much safer inside. There are too many dangers outside and you will end up with lots of vet bills.

First, get him neutered/spayed... so as not to add to the unwanted pet problem. Secondly, make sure he's on flea and tick medication and has had all of his shots.

Third, let him out if he's old enough. If he doesn't want to be out, you may have to find him a home with someone who doesn't mind having an indoor cat. Some of them just don't like to be outside. If I was that size, I wouldn't wanna be out there all the time, either. It's scary! LOL

It is safer and healthier for your cat to stay indoor but if your cat is very well behaved maybe you can bring her outdoor with a body harness so that you won't choke your cat with a leash if it gets scared and try to run away. I have thought of bringing my cat out for a walk using a harness but i can't seem to find a good safe body harness so that I will not hurt him in case he tries to free himself should he get scared or something. So I think it is safer for him to stay indoor for now.

Oh, you mean "How do I get my cat to be a dead cat?"

The odds are that's what you will end up with.

Outdoor cats live far shorter lives than indoor cats because of encounters with other animals, diseases picked up from other animals, extreme weather, automobiles, chemicals, and people.

If you truly love your cat, keep it indoors and take it outdoors using a harness and a leash.

when i decided to let my indoor cat be an outdoor one to i got a cat harness and took it out on that and a leash, took her around the block to get used to the new noises. they may not like the harness but will ber used to it . then i would take her in the yard and play with her. i was able to train her to stay in my yard and my yard only!! its a lot of work though. i also trained her to come to a whistle so that i could call her in when ever. keep the leash on and when she runs to the other yard step on it and tell her/him no. good luck with that.

All the cats I have ever had were outside cats all I did was let them out when they started to show interest in it and that was that if they aren't interested then don't force them outside there must be a reason that they don't want to go outside
