Ducky is very affectionate, especially at night before I go to bed. She rubs up against my hands and such. I begin to pet her, but she starts to bite me between strokes. I figure she doesn't want to be pet anymore so I stop. However, when I stop petting her she bites me again and continues to rub up against me. What does this mean?

With my cats, it always meant a love bite, it's just a bite to show their love and affection. Or if you stop petting them its to get your attention back.

She loves the attention. So keep it up. She might have sore spots or be out of wack along her backbone. And it feels good.
My cat just loves the attention and wants more and she lets me know by her biting. She's just spoiled. Hope ya find the right mood she's in. Cats can be alittle spoiled and tell the owner what they want.

My cat Simba does that all the time at night when he is snuggling in bed. It is the equivalent of a human hug. The bite doen`t hurt, but it is firm. If your cat was really trying too hurt you with a bite, you would know!!

My cat does that as well.. When I go to bed, she kind of knaws at my chin. She wants to be in the bed with me. She also kind of knaws at my hands when Im petting her. Its a very normal reaction from a cat if the arent biting you hard. Its hard to explain but its their way of dealing with affection. Or trying to get some.

They are love bites. If you dont want her to do it, just pick her up and put her someplace else. Otherwise take it as a compliment.

One of my cats gives me licks me and love bites. He also cries out if he thinks he cant find me and follows me around the house. But he is a Burmese and they do that. lol

If she does it and it dosent really hurt and dosent leave a painfull mark then she is only doing it affectionatly but if it hurts for a while and she dores it more and more with more force than you may need to get her checked out.

Yup our cat does that as well. It's supposed to be affectionate but if she starts drawing blood with her teeth and claws then it's time to get her to behave!

It's painful but I like her kneading me as well :P

She enjoys it and just wants to play. Try to get a game that you can play with her. Like a ball tied to a string. She is bored.
