yes, he will settle down alot because he wont have as much of an instinct to breed, so he wont try to protect his house "territory" as much as a non-fixed cat because he knows somehow that he cant breed. Its weird but it is true!! :)

Don't ever rely on desexing your cat to change his behaviour it can be a misconception. Know that you are getting him fixed because it is the best thing for him.
Male cats however do not need to rome for a girl cat after the cat has been desexed as the removal of the testes hinders the need for "U Know What", which will definitely be a bonus as he Will have less chance of being in fights and getting run over.
As for a crazy cat that is normal they will start settling down more and playing less after they have hit about 3+ before that they really are kittens in adult sized body.

You can discipline you cat though with a sharp no or i found a quick spray of water did the trick for my kitty when she went a bit far with the claws.
I believe like any animal they need to know there boundaries and he is never to young to be taught. So if he is going to far tell him of he will soon stop it.

P.S. Boy cats seem to be more sooky than girl cats so be ready for some winter snuggles

It depends on the natural temperament of the cat. We thought getting our cat fixed would calm him down and it didn't. I wouldn't give a definitive yes to that answer. Our cat actually wanted to go outside more after we got him fixed then before. If there are a lot of other cats around he might not change. Going with that, if you do have a lot of stray cats around I would get him fixed, especially if you plan on continuing to let him out.

Young cats often play rough and men tend to tease cats more - this will settle down as he gets older. As for wandering, when I had my cat 'done' he stopped going off at night in search of females and he stopped picking so many fights with other males (not totally) . He still wanders off about 2 streets away but no further xxx

He will take a time to settle down ,

he will still play and enjoy life as before ,

he may well be, more of a stay at home spoilt cat
than he was,
. he will need , lots of playtime's and .fuss making of him

You were so right to get him fixed ,you do not want to add unwanted kittens ,to their numbers

as you say ,there are millions of unwanted cats and kittens and dogs all ,crying out, to be loved and given a lovely home ,

I am so glad , your cat has a great home with you now !!! .
give him an extra special cuddle from me

He will play rough for a while yet if he is a young cat. But having his nuts cut will stop him wanting to wander far

I got my cat fixed he was just over a year old. He still is playful, and bites a little when he gets excited. He just got really fat after.

They will a little, however the clawing and biting is normal and the animal playing with you. You can train them to stop by spraying them with water when he does become too rough. Trust me he'll learn that's a bad behavior.
