There is really no proof either way, since a cat can't tell you - However, the way they jiggle around while sleeping would suggest that they do. They also go through periods of REM sleep, which are the periods that humans go through while dreaming. So I would imagine they do.
Now I would LOVE to know what my cat dreams about. Probably a lot of food.

I would think they do. I mean, my 2 cats really do some odd things in their sleep like meow, move their paws and feet like they are running, snore. They have a brain so sure, I think they do. And I think that they may be dreaming of the same things we do in a way. Like running, playing, jumping the same way we dream of doing things in our environment.

I really think that they do,although I have never read anything to that effect. My almost 15 yr old male can be sleeping and he wakes up meowing and looking all around to see where we are at and then he is OK. It's at that point I think he may quite possibly be dreaming.

I think its funny when my cat dreams, he kicks his feet like hes running and also makes funny noises. Its so cute!

yes they do...i have a 15yr old cat that talks while she is dreaming in her sleep and she bats at something in the air also

Yes I do believe they dream because when my black kitty is really in a deep sleep he jumps alot and I think he has (kitty mares),that's what I call night mares.

i think my cat does! he makes funny noises when he is asleep. maybe he is dreaming of the monster vacumm

yes they do! mine dream of big bowls of milk,and birds flying around in the house, but they cant have either!
