same as above, also:

Since your cat is a Persian, his very long & fine hair will need regular careful grooming to prevent mats.

Since you just got him, it's a good idea to go ahead & take him to the vet now, for a checkup & so that the vet can advise you about his care.

For the hair, a good quality diet will help reduce shedding, but with a Persian you'll just have to make good friends with your vacuum cleaner! Make it a habit to vacuum regularly, in addition to grooming him regularly, and that will help a lot. To get cat hair off fabric upholstery, put on a rubber glove and stroke it across the surface - the hair will come up easily.

As far as the shots, all you need to do is ask your vet about that. Now, as for the shedding, make sure you brush him on a regular basis and keep a lint roller handy! And good for you for keeping him indoors. Too many cat owners are irresponsible and let them roam free.

my cats are interior cats reason i'm unlikely to take a chanse of them getting ran over or hit with the help of a vehicle and interior the destiny i won't be able to have an outdoors cat in any respect i think of it is kinda unhappy whilst human beings go away there cats out facet reason they on no account now what's going to take place and the cat would possibly not be there right here day

To the shedding I give my cats a bath and they shed less. it might be hard to give him one but it works that or brush him alot to get the hair before it gets on everything. you should take him as soon as you get him. have his shots up dated and then every like 6 months. make sure there are alot of toys for him to play with and make sure you on't have birds or mice or anything like that around him because he will try and get them because he isn't about to do it outside he will want to. he is a cat he will want to hunt. but just give him alot of attention and make sure you get the cat food made for indoor cats. good luck.

I agree with the first answer.

Where did you get the cat from? If you adopted from a shelter, then they should have had him/her neutered/spayed and had all the vaccinations. Then they would just go once a year for a yearly checkup and booster shots.

Spay and neuter if necessary. FELV/FIV if needed. Stool sample to check for parasites.

Good luck to you and your new baby!

what to know:
keep fresh water in an open area
clean litter box
scratching pole to use instead of your furniture..
long hair- brush your cat 3 times a week.
shots- the vet will tell you.. $80 max. it's not too bad.
shedding- get one of those rolls with the sticky paper.. they work wonders!
be careful with can cat food- it causes smelly poops.

an inside cat is the best kind! he doesnt need to many shots as long as he is the only cat and inside obviously if he is than he doesnt need rabies and shots like that but they are still nice to have

Everything above, but everytime I leave the cat tries to get out. Watch the door.
