My kitten has really bad gas.... is it because she eats my adult cat's food?

2006-08-12 06:59:16 · 10 answers · asked by tonyamarie0404 1

I have two beautiful kittens and they are about a week old. I have two questions about them.

First, I was wondering for how long do they need milking from their mother and when I'm allowed to give them some other food, too.

Second, I've heard that people shouldn't touch kittens for some time because if they do, their mother will feel that and she'll abandon them. Is that true? If it is, for how long I'm not supposed to touch them?

Thanks in advance!

My cat catches them and brings them in at night. It's funny as hell to watch him play with them, I was just wondering what they are called?

I have 2 cats and 1 of them is sick with furballs. I have tried the appropriate cat food but this doesn't work. I brush her regularly too but again this is no good.

My cat feels like he has a fever ( his stomach is so hot ) . He has been gone for about a week, now i have locked him in the house. Could it be a side effect of tom catting? I noticed some little worms coming out of him, so i gave him some worm medicine. He also acts very lethargic and doesnt eat very good. I dont have the money to take him to the vet , what should I do?

Do they view them as oddball dogs that purr? Or, extremely strange humans? Or are they viewed as "approved" feline members of the pack. Everyone sniffs everyone else's rear end, so I'm assuming there's global acceptance in the household.

Our cats are basically indoor cats that we let outside, supervised, quite often. It would be so nice to have them use that big litterbox area in the back garden I set up for them. But no, they wait till they are back inside and make a bee line to the litterbox. Having four cats, it would be so nice if they could at least pee and poo outside now and then. Any suggestions?

Our cats usually are given a name brand dry cat food. Well times are tough so we had to try and spend cheap and we bought an off brand of cat food. Usually cups of food would last maybe a day and a half tops and now two scoops is going on 4 days now. Is there anything I can do?

My mum has a 1yo Cat who she has had since a kitten, and it has never warmed to the idea of being held or jumping up for cuddles. As far as we know it was never neglected by humans, it was from a pet shop. Will it be this way for life?
