Litter box , I changed her to a new cat little a couple of months ago and she used it without a problem. My cat 7, I've had her for 6 months and this past month she pees in her box, but one day she pooped on my couch, and I stuck her nose near it and told her no, no no sternly. Then next day she pees and poops on the couch I then took the covering off and machined watched it, and locked her in my room for a couple of days with her cat litter and food. (because of the heart) I then could not stand the smell, and have only one place and one bathroom (which is so tiny, you could not leave her in there for a day) to put her box. She continued using the box to pee, but not poop, she will wait days, then I hear her scratching, & she is scrathing, while I'm asleep, and she wakes me in my bedroom rug and then I see her in the process of pooping and push her out of the room (litter box was clean) she will hold it for days, so it is a matter of time before she does it again. (indoor cat only)

So,what would make a kitten that's 14 weeks old lay around all day,not eat much and doze off quite a bit throughout the day and act cold? Does that mean they are sick? Does that mean they are in heat? What do they act like when they are in heat? Someone goes outside and they act like they want to go too! Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

We did everything by the book and introduced them slowly etc. However the male keeps going for the kittens throat and I can't help but think that if we weren't there to intervene, he could possibly kill her. Will this ever end? It's absolutely terrifying to see and I just don't know what to do...HELP!

the white part has red init now, when it never was before. It looks like dark red bloodshot. The vet said nothing is wrong with it. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, and no sign of infection. Any ideas?

We've had cats in the past, none at the moment, and they always seem to harass to be in or out even if there's a door or window open for them, they puke behind radiators from the window sill, they scratch furniture, kill things or bring them home alive, poop in peoples gardens, and generally have an air of 'I'm better than you' about them. What is the attraction of these critters?

I have always loved them and was searching on the internet at the various catteries for prices just to get an idea but mostly I came up with nill. I guess I have to call them and talk to them. I did find a site that advertises the sphinx cats and those guys run between 1200.00 and 1500.00 american dollars. Does anyone out there have a siamese cat? Write and tell me, ok?

If a breeder is selling pedigree cats with no inhections is it ok to leave it if you are not going to be letting the cat out, or should you still get the injections done yourself? Also are there any implications of having them done at 13/14 weeks instesad of the usual 9 weeks?

My 4 yr. old cat just suddenly yesterday started coughing (almost like a human cough that isn't dry). I will definitely call our vet tomorrow for an appt., but anyone had this happen to their cat? Do they get colds like we do? She seems fine otherwise, still fat as ever, eats well, just has these coughing fits. I know the sound of a hairball cough and this isn't it. Thanks in advance!~

I just inherited a 6-week old kitten, and while I am not opposed to taking her to the vet I can't get her in for a few more days. She has terribly goopy eyes and raspy breath. I had a kitten once before with this same ailment and the vet said it was an URI, and prescriped an antibiotic. I am just wondering if anyone knows any herbs or holistic ways to help her (and me!) out.

Hello everyone,

I have a 4 months old ragdoll kitten who I imported from Australia. The thing is, he has been sneezing 3-4 times a day ever since I got him. He has settled in pretty good but he's still sneezing. Yesterday he sneezed again and slept for 8 hours and once he woke up he started coughing a bit. What would that be?

My kitten is only a few months old and probly already knows her name, I know this because when I call her name, it gets her attention but when i call her for food or to be with me, she just stares at me for a second then starts licking herself. She usually just follows me when I usually want to be alone though. I call her name whenit's time for her to eat, but instead i have to tap her dish to have her come eat. What are ways for my cat to respond to my commands?

My adorable cat has been making frequent trips to the litterbox lately, I've noticed.
Today, I watched her to see if she had a normal bowel movement or not but instead saw her squat down (with plenty of room, mind you) and a stream of urine completely missed the litterbox and instead actually shot out directly behind her and OVER the litterbox, onto the carpet.
That surprised me. Is this indicative of something or was it just bad aim?

PS - No, she is not spraying. She has been spayed.

Oh, and while we're on the subject - I have another question.
I've noticed lately that when she is butt side up against a wall, or really, butt side up against ANYTHING, her tail flickers in a really weird way as though she is marking her territory...what the heck is she doing????

i've heard wet cat food has unconsumable meat such as euthanized animals in it

ppl tell me cats can't digest corn, which is the main ingredent in dry food

is table food ok? baked, never fried, never any spices, nothing w a lot of sodium or fat, never raw

which is the best
