We have a fairly new kitten (got him @ 7 weeks...he's now gonna be 15 weeks).
He had some problems w/ grooming at first; but I tried to simulate "mom"----used a wet paper towel to clean his little face, etc.
Well, now he's been here awhile. I've seen him grooming/washing/etc.Seems to do a good job. But he still has this icky-looking right eye.
There are no signs that he has any infection in there...but that eye keeps draining , & staining his precious little face!

Any thoughts??!!

She seems to be in good health & other than really liking to be brushed, she seems content & comfortable. It's like she's lost her vocal cords. She used to meow normally. Now she very seldom even trys and then it's mostly just acting out a meow.

There are places on my carpet that my puppy has had accidents, and places where the person who used to live heres cat urinated on the carpet...and I can't get rid of the smell. Some places say to use vinegar and water...and some places say that vinegar will attract pets to the spots more...Some say that baking soda and water works....so what do I use? Does anyone have any ways that they have tried that have really worked?

My cat is a first time mom (I found out she was pregnant when I took her in to get spayed, go figure) anywho, she's about 8 months old and has 2 kittens, which are 16 days old.

We have her and the kittens in their own room, because she is rather skittish, and she has a way out of the room and has food and water and litter in there with her.

Well tonight I saw her sniffing around the hallway closet (not uncommon for her). Then about 15 minutes later I hear one of the kittens crying and I found it stuck undersome boxes and coats. I went to find the mother and she was just nursing the other kitten in her room. She accepted the kitten back and started nursing it again. But then tried to attack me, which she has never done EVER.

What do I do? Do you think she will abandon this one again? Should I just leave her kill it? Do cats normally hide their kittens?

I'm so confused.

I have two cats that are four years old and they are sisters. The problem is that they keep peeing all over the place. We think that it is a territoy issue, but we are not sure. Also we clean out their litter boxes daily so it is not like they don't have a place to go. We also give them new litter each month. We have tried everything!!! So we will take any adivce!!!

1) chase their tail
2)play fetch
3)try to take your jewlery off ( my cats bite my rings, braclet, ect)
4)sit on your keyboard when you're on the computer
5)sit on your book when you're trying to read
6)attack your currsor on the screen
7)suckel you
8)beg for food whenever you enter the kitchen
9)wag their tail when happy
10)greet you at the door when you come home
11)want attention (meow at you, try to climb your leg, etc) when you get ready to leave the house. (whenever I get ready for work my cats come and meow at me and sit on my feet while I put my make up on and do my hair)

I have a 10 month year old kitten, whose not eating or using the bathroom regularly. I took her to the hospital yesterday and they said she was dehydrated and had a fever of 104. The doctor said it was possible she may have a viral infection and she needed to stay over night and have some test run. They wanted $1200.00 to keep her. We don't have that kind of money. They gave her a fluid shot and today she was drinking some water and ate a small portion of soft fancy feast. However, that was 11am she hasn't eaten anything since, and I haven't seen her use the bathroom. She slept all day, she has no energy, and just wants to be rubbed. She acting like females on their period. And her nose goes from slightly wet to completely dry. Is there anything I can do, I cannot afford a 400-1200 for her to have those tests done.

We've been feeding a mangy stray and I don't want it to infect my dog or child (I've read it can spread from the cat). I know that the medicine used to treat cat mange, Ivermectin, is the same medicine used in HeartGard which is used to treat heartworms in dogs. So can I just give this medicine to the kitty? Any advice is appreciated.

She is a 3 year old spayed Maine Coon named Samantha. I love her so much but she is clawing my furniture. She has only been outside once which was a walk so she is obviously an indoor cat. She claws my chairs, bed, tables, everything. I need help so much.

She looks almost exactly like this but even cuter! She is adorable but she hates it when she is held unless she is rocked like a baby in the same position. Her name is Maria. She is a mix, my cat Sweetpea's daughter. Sweetpea just passed away last year. Maria was born July 2004.
