My poor kitty just got his 3rd vaccines an hour ago and has vomitted at least 5 times (large amounts). I called the vet and the receptionist said this is normal for 24-48 hours. I have put him in one room, rather than let him continue to puke around the house. Is it okay to leave him in the room for now to get some rest, or will it be more comforting to him if I allow him to roam? I didn't leave him any food, but left some water. The vet told me to limit food/water until later this evening. If he is vomiting, should I take away the water? I'm worried about the little guy!!!! Thanks for your help.

she was born in 5/06, shes up to date on all tests, shots and vaccinations. The doc told me to feed her tuna and baby food if she refuses dry kitten food. I brought her home on sunday, she was dong great until late monday morning when her sneezing got worse and she sounded congested. The vet told me she has URI, to feed her the ani-biotic for 10 days and she would be back to normal. How long do i have to watch her suffer and cry like that...should to use a suringe to feed with jarred baby food?? what about OTC kitten milk? should i leave her locked up somewhere of comfort, let her roam or just leave her alone??

My family has owned our cat Dakota for a year now, but recently my friend was trying to save a litter of kittens from the pound and we took one in. It's a 2 mo old male kitten, and I'm not sure if the fact that their both male is going to make the 'bonding' process harder. I am clueless as to how to make this work at the current time, any input would be most appreciated.

I have a slight allergy to cats, I get red in the face- once in a while I cough. My boyfriend wants to get a kitten within the next couple of days, an so I am wondering, what is better when it comes to dandard- long hair or short hair cats? And what type (persian, siamese).

She pretty much hisses and bites and scratches me and my husband almost all of the time. The only time she's calm and sweet is when she just wakes up. She's never had contact with other kittens because we found her outside and brought her in. I heard that might have something to do with it?

i was just curious, i heard that it was better for a female cat to have one litter of kittens before being spayed. i already let her have a litter and i am planning on getting her spayed once the kittens are old enough but i was just wondering if it makes any difference if they have a litter or not? dont get me wrong, i was responcible about it, all the kittens had homes before they were even born, but i was just wondering if i was mislead with the whole concept.

Easier to look after than dogs. No walks. And there are no bugs in the house.

Hi,
My cat, Charlie, used to be a outdoor/indoor cat, now he is 100% outdoor cat by his choice. Since being a outdoor cat, he pees in his litter box, but always poops ouside around the house and on the top of mulches of flower beds.
Any idea how does he change that? and how do we correct it?

Also how do I cool him off during hot summer days? And how I prepare or do to keep him warm during winter? I don't think he want to be inside any more. I live in Huntsville, AL. We have some day in single digit temperature.
Any idea will be greatly appreciate
Thanks

He is 17lbs and 3 years old. We used to think that he did it because he thought his litterbox was dirty, but he poops in the bathtub even when the litter box is clean too. We also thought that maybe he wanted one litter box to pee in and one to poop in. He uses them both to pee in. We thought that he may be too big for his box (with the litterbox cover on) but he goes inside to pee. HELP!!!!!

I have a five month old kitten and I want to move his litter box into a large walk in closet that I have.

I already had a cat door installed, but since he was a baby I have kept the litter box in a different location because he could not get in and out of the door at that young of an age.

What is the best way to introduce him to the cat door and the change in litter box location?

Thanks!!

I have a kitten and I started giving her a tiny bit of canned food in the morning. She loves it! Now I give her a tiny bit at night too. I leave dry food out all the time, and she still eats that too. I know canned food has a lot of calories and can cause problems with their teeth, so how much should I give her without it being too much?

I recently decided to be a grown-up and got my own apartment. I have always had roommates. I have been there five months now and I finally had a house warming party. As a present my friends (god love them) rescued a cat for me. My lease does say No Pets however I do not have a landlord or a super living in our building. She's really cute, clean, litterbox trained, etc etc etc. So here is my question. If you found out that someone had a pet in your building would you call the landlord or keep it to yourself?

My gorgeous little cat died on June 23rd this year (six weeks on Friday) and I thought I was handling it quite well. Just lately though I have been thinking of her more and more and even though I have her ashes with me I still miss her so much. Is getting another cat the answer or can anybody tell me how they coped with the loss of their pet. Thank you!
