Today I had to take my Cat thats been with me for over 8 years to the Vet .In the last 2 months he has lost all control of his Kidneys.I noticed this mostly by the strong Urine smell in my apartment(First I just thought he was spraying(but not likely as he is fixed and hasnt done so before)The Vet did some test and found out he has got Tumors on his KidneysHas anyone ever heard of this)basically was told I need to put him down in the next few weeks as with his age and how far gone the tumors are ,it would be best.I am just devastated over this.Is this the right thing to do.He is like a family member so its a hard decision. How do I make this decision. To make things easier would it be wise to get another Pet right away(My 4 year old son will be lost without his Kitty)They have been inseparable .What should I tell my son when Kitty isnt here anymore.Anyone gone thru this and how do you handle.

My cat likes to hump stuffed animals and I mean he gets down and dirty....he isn't picky either. He likes german shepherds, dolphins, bunny rabbits and he especially likes it when my soft vellux blanket is wadded up in a nice fluffy pile. It's so nasty!! Help!

How come every night when Im changing into my pjs, my cat enjoys watching me undress? I mean, I start taking my clothes off and if he sees me, he runs into my room excitedly!

Note- none of my dogs ever do this. only my cat Otto.

Is he just really perverted or do other cats do this?

I have two male cats: one a kitten, one adult, and both are in good shape (not fat or too skinny). However, when either of them runs, an area below their stomachs that hangs down flaps in the breeze. What is that skin-flap-thingy called?

Thanks in advance!

1.-What does it mean that a cat has his tail up?

Mine has his tail up almost always.

2.-My cat is pursuing his tail.. is this normal? ._.

On another note I got him Soft Paws and he's"scratching" my beanbag chair. It's so cuuute..

And before you're saying im cruel, Im telling you he is an indoor cat, because he's a kitten. I dont wanna leave him out.

With it being so hot out, I don't like letting my cat out much. But, when I do, he does a little hop out the door, like he's jumping for joy....does anyone else have a cat that does this? It's cute, but, err, weird.

I have a female cat who is about a year old. The whole time I've had her she climbs up in my lap and sucks on my shirt (only if it's cotton) like she is feeding from her mother. I was told that it was because she was not weened properly when she was a kitten, but I'm all out of ideas on how I can get her to stop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have 4 cats and two of them are twin looking, one is older and female the other is young and male. But the younger male for some reason persist in smelling and licking the behind of the older female cat that looks like him. I've had cats almost all my life, and I've never seen a cat smell and\or lick the behind of another cat or animal. Is there something normal or natural about what the cat's doing or does the cat need to be checked in to the animal mental hospital?

My Cat is Having her Second litter and We still have two from her last litter of Kittens and whenever she sees them She hisses and attacks them. She seems really Hormonal but This has never happened before with other cats I've had in the Past. She also attacks People who chase her and Scratch the Wrong spots on her.

Is it morally wrong to own a cat milking farm or "plantation". I have been operating succesfully for about 14 years now and I have been and am continuing to receive business for all of those years. But recently people have been protesting my facility saying it is cruel. Personally, I believe the cats like it. Only one cat has been killed in my facility and that was becasue it combusted. Is it wrong ot own this plantation?

I was wondering if this would help him get used to my smell. He sleeps in a box with my blanket, and he only has two days in this house.
