Why dont cats and dogs like each other? when did it start when they didnt like each other?

2006-08-02 05:40:59 · 10 answers · asked by ♥Ana M.♥ 2

My cat got stuck on a roof and they would not come out until she has been up there for 48 hours. Then when the 48 hours were up they still wouldn't come, saying that if she got up she would get down. Now i know this makes sense but not under her circumstances. She climbs up the garden fence, jumps up onto the bungalow roof next door, which then leads onto the bottom of my roof, and up she goes, but from there she then jumps 15 feet down to next doors roof (on a lowe level) and is then stuck cos she can jump down that far but not up. We have a very strange shaped roof and that is the problem. When i asked the RSPCA about all the resues they do on TV i was told that that is just for the telly!! In the end i paid someone to go up a ladder and get her..........

My cat was gorgeous as a kitten but when she grew to full size and developed her own special little character she was even more loveable. But which do you prefer?

We've owned cats in the past, but it's only since we got our latest pair of four-month-old kittens that I've been sure I'm allergic. It's not terrible, but I get very sneezy when I'm around them. Anything I can do about without giving them up?

I would love to buy a cat, but I would like to know a general price range. I'm not looking for a certain breed, just a healthy cat with a friendly personality is what I'm looking for!

So yeah, I bought a buncha stuff before I got my cat.. Except a one of those litter scoops. What can I use instead it for a while?

The pet shop is really far away from here, my parents arent home, and I don't have a driver's license <_<. What should I use instead, then?..

I have a seven year old neutered male cat who gets a bit lonely when I have to leave him by himself for a week or two, so I'm considering getting a kitten to keep him company. His mother used to live with us, but she got loose when I moved and I haven't seen her since. Any thoughts/advise/experience?

Thanks!

it's an obnoxious smelling deterrant spray that you either spray on directly or on a piece of cloth that you then lay on the item you are trying to get your cat to stay away from. I've heard of this product a couple of times, but cannot find it. anyone know of it and can tell me the correct name and where to get it and if it works? please please please!

I'm wondering if it's normal because my kitten seems to drink her water like 5 or 6 times a day. She also finishes 1 full can mixed with a whole bunch of dry food in a day. We put both food and water out for her every time (that's how I know) because of our baby who would love to help kitty with that.

Do these really work?
How well would it work with 4 cats?
Is it worth the money?

My cats (I have 4) rip the litter bag all to shreds when they use the litter box. It makes quite the mess. Any ideas as to how to get them to stop?
I keep their nails trimmed, and have tried using 2 bags, taping the bags, etc to no avail.
Any ideas are appreciated!

i just got a kitten, the first night she explored the house, and of course found the hamster...he is in a very large cage so for now he's on the top of out big screen tv...im more worried about her getting to him and knocking the cage over, should i invest in a smaller cage so i can put him on a bookshelf, or will she get over it in time?

I still have to sweep the floor two/three times a day to get rid of all the litter on the floor. Shes a really good kitty otherwise, has heaps of stimulation but sometimes she just gets in and acts as if she has gone the toilet even if she hasnt. Hence a floor full of litter. HELP, it really hurts if u step on it in ur bare feet lol

We love his kitten and wish her no harm, but we have to come up with something to discourage her from jumping up on cabinets. I have spanked her, sprayed her with water, and locked her in the utility room, but nothing seems to work.

In my previous question, I said I accidently threw a heavy toy at my girlfriends cat when I was at her house taking care of it for the weekend. The cat was still breathing, then but it wouldn't wake up. I always see in movies that cat's don't like water. So I fill up the tub, and threw the cat in the tub. It opened it's eyes, so I suspected it was awake, but it wasn't moving. It's head sank and then I pulled the cat out. It was making a gurgle noise and now it stopped and isn't breathe. I had to get the cat dry, so I blow dried the cat, and put it back on it's bed. I hope my girlfriend doesn't notice until I go home. What should I do?
