My young 1 year old Tabby seem to have conceived at 9 months old.... She Just had 3 kittens in the last hour.... and, for sure, one of my young males is the father... I think the bleu-russian one, because he kept near her the most.... So how many kittens should I expect in average...? I already have 6 cats besides these new borns.... Any good home wants a kitten in 2 months or so??
My Tabby girl is angora, one of the most intelligent and quiet... the father is bleu-russian looks... very affectionate... and caring...
Thank you for your infos... I never had Tabby before last year..., she is adorable...

My cat needs to see a vet because of a car accident. I posted a question earlier, and I forgive everyone who was nasty because they don't understand that I stay at home with 3 children, two have disabilities and we are receiving assistance because we are poor, even though my husband has a full-time job. So where can I get assistance with vet bills? My last resort is to surrender him to the SPCA, but we love this cat. BTW, my kids have Medicaid, so they go to the hospital when they are ill, and we are there a lot because of problems. Don't judge.

My poor baby kitten has an eye irritation. He went out to play for half and hour and came in with a puffy eye. He is constantly rubbing it with his paw. I looked at it, and there is like a blister on the inner top eyelid. Is there something I can put in it? Are human allergy eyedrops an option? It is really bothering the poor fella. Please help!!

I am of the belief that the female has to be in heat before the male will even try to do such a thing, but would appreciate correct information. Thanks everyone!

My adorable cat is strictly an indoor cat.
Whenever another cat comes to the house (on the patio or whatever) she meows in this deep, guttural way at it and her tail puffs up really high. She seems to be excited, she may be defending her territory, I can't really tell.

The icing on the cake, though is ALWAYS after the cat leaves and I go near her...she hisses at me!
She'll hiss at me and run away.

Why does she do this?

What do I do when she does this?

She has no problem understanding me when I correct her for anything else, she is like a kid in that she actually responds with a meow if I have to correct her. ( I speak to her in a stern voice)
She listens very well.
I spoke to her in a stern voice after she hissed at me, but I felt badly because I don't know if I was wrong to correct her for something that may be her natural instinct.

Why is it a felony to drop off a litter of kittens and leave them at a vet's office......but ok to drop off a human baby at a police station or a fire station??!!?? There are safe haven laws for human baby. So why would a town spend money and time trying to find someone and arrest them for dropping off a litter of kittens????!!!That is better than drowning them ....don't you think?? Some people have their priorities screwed up.

I have a four-month-old kitten who has just learned how to jump up on the kitchen counter and now I can't get her to stop. This is a problem because now she can get to the stove (it's electric--I'd worry less if it were gas/flame, but I don't know if she knows not to touch the coils like she would with fire), and no matter how well I watch the stove when it's on, I worry about her sneaking by me.

I've heard of putting bubble wrap (i.e. something that's loud when pounced upon) or something sticky on the counter to discourage them from jumping. Has this worked for anyone? Any other suggestions for breaking the counter-jumping habit?

Thanks!

The male? He kept me from sleeping for half an hour last night and half an hour this morning by walking all around my head, purring and kissing. He won't let his sister near my head at night because he is jealous and doesn't want her to get any kisses.
OR
The female? She ran over into the neighbor's yard, even though I reinforced the fence on the bottom so she could not climb under it. She went up a tree to cross over, but mysteriously forgot how to do it to come back, even though treats were offered.
What are your little hooligans up to today?

My one cat had kittens and now there are 6 cats to take care of. I can't afford to care for them properly and they stay outside, so more cats will result - should I just get rid of all of them?
