Just get One Of those Fine metal pet combs or a normal fine tooth side of a comb comb and give her a good combing out over the tub with a little bleach in the bottom so when the fleas fall they'll die.

Then I'm Affraid You'll Have To Give Her A Long Bath In Luke Warm Water With Shampoo (No Bleach) And Then The Following.

Then Get an Extra Strengh Flea Collar And some Powder From the Supermarket or pet store, (shouldn't cost anymore than 12-14 Dollars All Up).

And If You Can't Afford that, Animal Control could Be Taking Her Off You Because You Would Be Classed As Icompetent To Keep The Her And Actually Be Breaking A Law which Could Get You A Mark On Your Perminant Record.

(Not That That's What I Think Should Happen Though)

I HATE fleas and the sucky thing is is they get worse b4 they get better. 1st go to petco or a pet supply store and buy some carpet flea powder, and apolstry flea spray, a flea dip for the cat and flea shampoo, and finally some advantage or frontline. Go home and vacuum your carpet (flea egg live in there) then follow the directions for the carpet powder and apolstry spray. Meanwhile lock the cat in a non carpeted area (bathroom). TROW AWAY YOUR VACUUM BAG OUTSIDE (fleas thrive in it!) Put a new one in and vacuum excess powder. Right away give the cat a bath then the flea dip, start at the neck and work your way down. Dont wash the dip off! Don not put advantage on that day wait at least 2 days bcuz cats r very porous after a bath and the pesticides in it can harm them if you do it too soon. Then your fleas should be gone. Its a lengthy problem, but u have to do it to rid of them. I had the problem last ear and the fleas never did come back!

Go to the store and buy flea and tic remover and give her a bath..it may take more than once. Then you must throw everything away that she has been in contact with or the cat and YOU will end up with the fleas and tics again. Very important...throw the contaminated stuff away...this could be couches, carpet...anything material...fleas are tremendously hard to get rid of.

Laquita, DO NOT USE BORIC ACID, IT IS DEADLY FOR PETS AND CHILDREN.
You have to take care of this baby. She must be an outdoor cat or you would not have these ticks. The ticks will not stop and neither will the fleas, mites and lice, as long as she is outdoors. HOWEVER, At this point, you should take your kitty to the veterinarian ASAP, and let them treat her problems. While the cat is there, throw away everything that is Fabric, and spray, then clean everything Plastic, and Vacuum, Vacuum, Vacuum, then throw away the bag = Outside. Before leaving the doctors office, have them put on the liquid, "Revolution or Frontline" (More Below), and buy the same in a Flea and Tick Collar, for your cat to always wear.
NOTE: You will have to repeat this, per directions on label.
LASTLY: Locate the SPCA in your area, for FREE help, or contact:

You need to treat your cat and your carpets. Raid makes a spray for fleas that you can spray directly into your carpet. After you let the spray dry, vacuum, and immediately take out the vaccum bag. Fleas can still live inside the bag and get back out into your carpet.

I bought some of that flea stuff for cats that you put on their neckand let it soak into their skin. I don't remember the brand name, but I found it at Target for a very low price. I think Hartz? Like $5 or something for a 3 month's supply.

Good luck - they're pretty hard to get rid of, but it is possible.

Its an eight step solution.

step 1: Put your cat in a paper bag.
step 2: Put duct tape around the top so the cat can't escape
step 3: Throw paper bag (containing cat) into body of water
step 4: Get bug bomb
step 5: Set off bug bomb in house
step 6: Make sure fleas are gone from your house
step 7: Get new cat (flealess of course)
step 8: If new cat gets fleas, repeat steps 1-7

I don't advocate cruelty to animals. Would you like scratching yourself for the rest of your life, or until your broke owner could pony up 20 bucks for a flea collar? I'm being humane. The cat is in misery. Give me a thumbs down if you want.

Your cat has fleas and tics....she NEEDS to go to the vet. Every tic has to be removed, and if they're not, they could make her very sick. Giving a cat a bath for fleas is one thing, but tics are harder to get rid of. And it's imperative that the kittens get care because they could be killed by a severe flea and tic infestation.

Give the cat a bath using some flea shampoo or "no tears" baby shampoo. While all soaped up, try combing her out with those flea combs. Have a friend help you with this to make it easy and quick for both you and your cat.

I completly agree with nique888 ..If you cant afford to keep the cat and now that it has kittens how are u going to take care of them???? You should have gotten ur cat neutered and wouldnt have to face the kitten situation...i would say give ur cat to a NO KILL shelter and they will take care of her and the babies and find them a good home...its unsafe for a cat to be outside and it doesnt really seem like you can offer them much...I dont mean to sound rude or mean...but if ur not capable of taking care of ur pets and taking them to the vet then u shouldnt even have pets...

Make sure you use a decent flea medicine! I put Sergeant Silver flea med on both mine and then did some research on it and it turns out it's very bad for them. I would spend the 20 bucks for Advantage. It stops any flea eggs from being able to hatch out of her. Also have you looked in your local paper? Sometimes they will advertise Flea dips for your pets at local animal hospitals/vets for cheap! Or maybe you can call petsmart, they may have some advice, you will definetly have to treat you home, mattress, couch. Keep looking on the internet for advice on how to treat you home for fleas. Defintely take action now to keep her out of pain, fleas can be painfull for kitty especially if they are allergic to them!
