The mamma cat very seldom is not interested in her kittens. It is very special what God gave to animals. She will probably take care of it. If she doesn't seek help like the vet tech says. As for those 2 whatever that gave you some ignorant answer, they sould not even be on this site!!!!! Good luck with the babes, I'm sure they'll be fine!!!!

Dont touch it; the mother cat will see to everything; and dont take the afterbirth away- the mother cat needs to eat this as the vitamins and minerals in it make her milk come in. Removing the afterbirth could leave her unable to feed her kittens, whose chance of survival would then be very slim indeed.

The mother cat should chew it off and usually eats it. Yum. If she is not chewing it off you can use a string (fishing line) and go about 3 cm up from the belly. Tie it and pull till the string goes completely through the cord. If you are unsure take to your vet if mom does not do it. Make sure she is also feeding them. If she is not interested hold her down or buy some milk replacement till you can get to your vet.

NO!!!!!!!!!! LEAVE THE AFTERBIRTH ATTACHED TO THE KITTEN, THE MUMMY WILL CHEW OFF THE CORD (LOOKS AND SOUNDS DISGUSTING BUT IS PAINLESS AND BABY WILL BE LESS LIKELY TO DEVELOP AN INFECTION OR HERNIA FROM YOU TUGGING AT IT!!! IF THE AFTERBIRTH DOESN'T COME OUT AFTER AN HOUR OR SO, YOU SHOULD CALL A VET AS THE AFTERBIRTH COULD BE STUCK IN THE BIRTH CANAL AND BLOCK ANY MORE KITTENS FROM GETTING OUT. THEY WILL DIE IF THEY DON'T COME OUT QUICKLY. TURN OFF THE LIGHTS AND LEAVE HER ALONE. CHECK HER IN AN HOUR. GOOD LUCK!

The mother will generally take care of it herself. They normally do that pretty soon after the kitten is out.

whilst a cat does the paw element she is doing what she did to her mom to get milk, it rather is her asserting "i like You" and "Your my new mom". A kitten linked like it is okay in case you like a clingy kitty and a cat that isn't go away your area. If she is going to be an indoor cat that habit is wonderful yet whilst she is going to be an out of doors cat, i could wreck the habit. She could replace into to linked and not prefer to bypass exterior until your accessible. wish this helps. playstation lovable kitten!

The mother will chew it off, if she does not then you need to let a vet cut it off or ask them for instructions on how to do it

The mother will chew through the cord, and then eat the afterbirth.
Sounds nasty, but that's nature.
