The male? He kept me from sleeping for half an hour last night and half an hour this morning by walking all around my head, purring and kissing. He won't let his sister near my head at night because he is jealous and doesn't want her to get any kisses.
OR
The female? She ran over into the neighbor's yard, even though I reinforced the fence on the bottom so she could not climb under it. She went up a tree to cross over, but mysteriously forgot how to do it to come back, even though treats were offered.
What are your little hooligans up to today?

HEE HEE! We have one male and one female cat also. They are COMPLETE opposites. The girl is 8 yrs. old, FAT, sleeps a lot, but she purrs whenever you pet her or even look at her. She's such a sweety when she wants to be, but does not enjoy being picked up or held. She will come up on our laps when SHE feels like it and not until. She gets the crazies once in a great while, usually right after being outside in the backyard.

HE on the other hand, is a complete nutcase, but also a sweety! He also does the circling the head thing, rubbing, purring, kissing...and won't let her come near us either. I love when he comes up on the bed whenever I lie down, and plops himself down next to me with his little head using my upper arm as a pillow! He snuggles in right next to me, every time. So sweet! He will wait at night for the kids to go up to bed...no matter how tired he is, sitting there at the bottom of the stairs half asleep, wobbling and trying to keep his eyes open until my daughter is ready to go up to her room.
He is completely declawed but still manages to climb trees and jump the fence in our yard, so he is no longer allowed out alone, which he is very confused about. SHE'S allowed to go, why can HE? lol
I love their soo different personalities, even if they don't always get along.

The male definitely gets the hooligan award, and here's why:

Whenever a cat does something, he's secretly doing it because he's trying to fake you out and make you drop your guard. Ergo, if he's being all sweet and cuddly, he's secretly planning to take over the universe and turn you into the scullery maid.*

*(Which is probably not much different than your present position, but this way, at least it'd be official.)

The female, on the other paw, was exhibiting another cat behavior, this one known as the "I will do the opposite of what my human expects, but since my human expects me to run away, I have to do the opposite of that, but then that means I'd be obeying, but she thinks that I'm gonna disobey, so I have to. . ." gambit.

Poor little thing just got confused trying to figure out exactly what the opposite of the opposite's opposite was and wandered off by accident while she was lost in thought.

See, it's all very easy when you learn to think like a cat like I have. Oops, sorry, gotta go. . .the nice young man in the clean white coat just brought me my evening meds.

Don't you just love how they can outsmart your confinement plans, but are too stupid to figure out how to get back in!!!! My cat is bouncing off the screen right now, he knows he can't get through, but he insists on trying, even after he is bounced off the window and onto the floor!
