My cat is 2 years old and she is completly blind. I love her to death but I feel so sorry for her when she runs into walls and furniture. I dont know if she suffers. What is the humane thing to do?

My cat will always sit next to me, no matter what room I go in, he follows, and just wants to be near me. He eats dry food, so he's not waiting for me to feed him. There are 3 other cats in the house, and they all get along, so he's not lonely...I know he's comfortable, he lies on his back for most of the day :) There are also two other people in the house, it's not as though he is craving the attention. I'm just curious, why only me? He doesn't want to sit with his siblings, or the other people in the house. If I go to the kitchen to grab something, he stays with me till I leave, then follows me back into the other room. The only thing he doesn't do is sleep with me, thought he "tucks" me in everynight. He'll come in and sit with me while I fall asleep. It's very cute, but I just can't understand the "obsession" with me :)

I want to get a cat, but I don't want one that gets big. There are toy dogs that stay very small their whole life and was wondering if anyone knows of any cats that do the same.

This may seem like a dumb question, but I am curious...I have a cat who has his front two paws declawed. He was born in my house, and I gave a couple out of the litter away. Anyways, he ended up not be happy at his new home, so he came back to me. I brought him to get his nails clipped a couple of months later, and the guy said there was nothing there...I told him this was impossible, and he said he couldn't find anything. I was rather puzzled, so I emailed the owner who had given him back. He replied very nonchalantly, "oh, yeah, we had him declawed, I didn't think it was a big deal." Well, I did, and VERY irresponsible not to tell me. What if I had let him out? He knew we had his siblings here, what if they fought? So, I was really devastated, I felt as though his life would not be as fulfilling. He has a brother and a sister who live with him now. They wrestle a lot, I notice he's a biter, with them, and me. That doesn't bother me.

My girlfriend wants to get a new kitten after we move into our new place in two weeks. She thinks that we should get the new kitten ASAP (like within two weeks) of moving in, so that our current cat (who is a one and a half) will not feel as dominant in the space.

I'm worried that a new place, me moving in with my girlfriend, and a new kitten might be too much for my cat. I don't want to overwhelm her. But my gf thinks that is the perfect time to get a kitten. I'm not super worried, but she doesn't have me convinced.

Thoughts? I'm particularly interested in people who've had experiance with introducing new cats to older cats or who've worked in the vet/shelter/pet psych field.

okay i have 16 kitties, all of them have their own special traits that i love (or learn to live with! cause they are my children) anyway when my 3year old OZZY uses the litter box and i don't care if it is no1 or no2, after he has gone and covered it up (for at least 5 mins) he does not stop! i mean if i did not tell him ozzy your'e done! he would dig his way to CHINA! so what is your furry childs c/o disorder?

My cat is scratching excessively. He scratches so much he causes scabs on his neck & the underside of his chin. He's a nervous cat--I think this might be why he does this but I'm not sure. If anyone has had a cat with a similar problem, please let me know what, if anything, helped resolve it. Thanks!

We've got geckos in our new place in Hawai'i. They don't bother me, but the cat loves them. Will she get sick if she eats them?

anyone have any suggestions? I don't like 'real' names like fred and bill and cutesie kitty names... I want something a little off the wall without being vulgar, possibly even interesting sounding foreign words. He is a black and gray tiger kitty.

We have been having a heat wave and I make sure he has water but it seems like its getting worse. He is laying on his side with his mouth open panting and his whole body is shaking.

I accidentally left my cat litter at my new house (we're in the process of moving to a town 40 minutes away) and my 6 week old kitten needs something to go in. I am unable to get to a store right now. Is there something that might be around the house that I can use until morning so Sam will be happy?
