Heartworms

History: The most common historical complaints in cats with clinical signs are coughing, dyspnea, vomiting, lethargy, anorexia, and weight loss. Vomiting and respiratory signs are the predominate complaints in chronic clinical cases, although it is unusual for an infected cat to exhibit both symptoms concurrently.

Usually you can see other worms. I know that is gross but they usually show up.

Usually weight loss, and a protruding tummy, as well as a dull coat. If left untreated, they will also become lethargic and anemic. Cats can have worms without showing signs though, so I'd by a wormer for all of them just to be safe. Worms can kill cats, and the prevention is pretty cheap.

A swollen belly is a sign of INTESTIONAL worms!!!! Heatworm symptoms can be coughing and breathing difficulty. Often there are no symptoms. You can have a blood test for it. And there is a monthy preventitive for it also.
