Absolutely NOT.. it is good if a cat likes water well enough to shower.. MOST cats hate water. My cat will not go near water except to drink. I would LOVE to give it a shower and get rid of some of that excess hair and dandruff but I cannot. I have heard that to get a cat to like or permit water to be put on it, it has to be started at a young age..

I have never had a need to give my cat a bath until I discovered she had fleas. I dont have a bath tub in my house, just a shower, so she got a shower. She hated it and I left with battle scars. It helped that I clipped her claws before her shower but not much. It is better to start them out early when they are young and baths might not be so bad. Some cats can tolerate water more than others. In my case my current cats hates water. Oh well, cant win them all. I had a cat a few yrs ago who I could take in the shower with me and he didnt mind to much. Just depends on the cat and their personality.

I doubt that it is bad, but I wouldn't expect the cat to like you very much after you have showered it. But, he'll get over it eventually, he may just hide for a day or two.

It can be yes. If your cat doesn't like water and has claws then he'll scratch and not be a happy camper. Also if the cat isn't properly dried off and remains wet it can develop a cold. You can try and take a large clean dry bath towel and dry it off. You'll need to hold it tightly wrapped in the towel because he'll want to squirm away.

Hope this helps some!

Believe it or not, some cats actually like water, but most do not. If you are going to bath your cat, make sure you start doing it when they ar kittens, otherwise they will not take to it very well.

No it's not. It's supposed to be good for the cats as we wash the mites, bacterias and such. The only problem is, the don't like getting wet. Like cold water.

they HATE it and will hate you for making them wet, but it is not bad. What is bad is having a pet that hates you.

ive had my cat since it was like 6 weeks old. when it was young, we started to give it baths and it doesnt really hate them. we still give him baths once in awhile. the cat just has to get used to it.
