Call your Vet and explain the situation to them. I'm sure that the kittne will be okay from missing one dosage, but the Vet might want you to give the kitten one more pill just to be on the safe side.

I am sorry to hear your kitten had to have surgery, unless of course it was spaying or neutering which is a really responsible thing to do! The medication you wrote about Amoxi, is an antibiotic. It is usually called Amoxicillin, believe it or not, the same as what is given to kids, adults, just different strengths for smaller animals. Anyways, it is just to make sure there is no infection. It is very hard to give kittens, cats medications. Sometimes it may help to put it in wet food, a small teaspoonful may work. Otherwise, you want to have two people there if possible, one to open the kitten's mouth and the other to put the medicine in............and then close the jaw and stroke the kitten's neck to have it be swallowed. If there was only one pill left, I wouldn't worry about it if you did lose it. By now, there would have been more signs of infection if there was to be one. Good luck! Hope all works out well! :)

Sounds like antibiotics. Amoxicillan? "Orange tablet" isn't very helpful, and besides this sounds like a question for the vet tomorrow morning, doesn't it? If it was the last one, chances are it will be ok.
Just a tip for future pilling. Put you cat on a table. Hold him with your left arm and hand under his chin, pushing his head up. With your right hand, use your first finger to open his mouth. Put the pill in with your thumb and middle finger. GENTLY push it back on TOP of his tongue down his throat a little so it will be difficult to spit out. Close his mouth and run his under his chin downward to encourage him to swallow...WALLA PILLED KITTY!!!.......Well most of the time ...LOL Different combinations of fingers might work better for you and it takes practice, but having had a cat that needed pilling twice a day for 12 years, I'm here to tell you it CAN BE DONE!!!! Something else, make the ordeal as matter of fact as possible. Don't make a big production of it such as wrapping him in a towel. They HATE that and will RUN every time they see you coming with that towel.
I've also found that while they are walking by minding their own business, just leaning down, left hand under the chin, opening their mouth and pushing a pill in works too. Before they know what's happening the dirty deed is done! No muss, no fuss.

I guess you could call the veternarian and see if it will have anything happen by missing that last pill. And if you have to use pills for it again try putting it in a soft cat treat or something so that the cat wont spit it out. If that doesent work then pop it in its mouth and gently hold it shut while rubbing its throat to make sure it swallows.

Dogs try to do the same thing but cats are a little quicker.

I'm assuming those tablets were antibiotics they gave you for him? I wouldn't worry about it too much if it was the last dose you were supposed to give him. The doses you were given was the ideal regimen he should have gotten, but missing one dose, especially the last one shouldn't be a problem. Just keep an eye on him for a few days, if you notice him getting lethargic, getting a temperature or acting abnormal then take him to the vet. But I don't think you'll have a problem

grind it up and put it in a teaspoon of some irrisitable canned catfood. Then spoon feed him! Or ask the vet to have the meds made into a suspension of fish oil. I had a cat that cheeked pills and spat them out later. She couldn't resist the fish flavored suspension.

I think the kitten will be ok. But you can call the vet and he will give you another pill for the kitten if you are worried.

if he's already had some doses of the meds, then he's still got it in his system
you didn't say what the tablet was for?
call your vet in the morning, he should be ok

Check with the vet that gave you the pill. to see if this could cause problems. I break the pill in half and put it in canned food very small amounts so they will get the pill.
