My cat Loki loves Greenies, which are available at pet stores. They are a bit pricey, but he turns his nose up at the tartar control treats available at the grocery store. If the cat's breath smells really bad, you may have dental decay, and a trip to the vet is indicated. Some cats, like people, just have bad teeth and need regular vet cleanings to keep them healthy.

Do you feed your cat only wet food? If so, try weaning it away to harder dry food. If you can't then make sure to give it the hard treats.

Some cat food just makes kitty breath rotten!! You could brush his/her teeth with a cat paste called Four Paws Pet dental with flouride available at Wal Mart.

They sell these things call Feline Greenies...and they are kitty treats for their teethies. They also have this stuff you can put in their water to freshen their breath...I forgot what it was called though but I'm sure they sell it at petco or petsmart.

Its most likely caused by plaque on the teeth. Hard food, a few tartar control snacks, kitty tooth brush, and if none of that works, then the vet will have to remove the plaque, just as our Dentist does!

There are these cat treats that you can get at PetsMart or Pet CO. that helps with the breath. I give my cat two every couple of days. He loves them. Can't think of the name of the new treats but the old treats were called pit'r pats. They were near the register at PetsMart. The other treats are in the cat isle with the other treats. Also try the Catberry treats..helps with the shiny coat.

You can buy some greenies but a cheaper alternative is to use Royal Canin Oral sensitive or Hills Oral care, and even cheaper still is a raw chicken neck or wing and some raw meaty bones everyday.
