she was born in 5/06, shes up to date on all tests, shots and vaccinations. The doc told me to feed her tuna and baby food if she refuses dry kitten food. I brought her home on sunday, she was dong great until late monday morning when her sneezing got worse and she sounded congested. The vet told me she has URI, to feed her the ani-biotic for 10 days and she would be back to normal. How long do i have to watch her suffer and cry like that...should to use a suringe to feed with jarred baby food?? what about OTC kitten milk? should i leave her locked up somewhere of comfort, let her roam or just leave her alone??

A stuffy kitten can not smell and if they can't smell they usually won't eat or drink much. Try tuna water over canned cat food. baby meat in a jar. warm the food slighly to entice her to eat. the warming releases more of a smell. She needs to stay hydrated. Kittens who are ill and don't eat or drink can go down hill quickly. If she doesn't improve soon a trip back to the vets. do not use benadrly.. Steamy air helps run hot shower water in the bathroom and sit in the steamy air with the kitty for abit. This will help. Run a humidfyer

Just give her the meds, food, and water. I wouldn't give her kitten milk since she's old enough to where she really doesn't need it. Water should be fine, but that's your own personal choice. I would also put her in a quiet place, but leave it so that she can get out if she wants to. She'll probably come around in a few days. All you can really do is make her as comfortable as you can. If it helps her, you could also put a heating pad under her bed. good luck!

my cat has chronic uri's he has feline herpes and before we figured out that it was feline herpes he was on lots of different antibiotics, let your cat wonder around your house as normal, make sure she is drinking. you can go to the store and get some cats milk but what you really should do is call your vet and ask them to give you some rebound for cats. that's kind of like a cat gatorade.

you can give her some benadryl but not knowing her size or anything I don't know what dosage to tell you to give, you can call your vet and they can tell you that. that should help some with the sneezing and stuff.

just give her the meds as do as the vet told you.

keep giving her, her regular cat food.
to spoil her a bit give her some canned kitten food. since she is ill best be to give her A/D or some other medical wet food, ask your vet she has any science diet wet medical food. once of the cans will be alright for your cat.
