well my cat has(had) a serious problem with hairballs, so we feed her Meow Mix Hairball Control, and it works...no more hairballs :)

I used to use the Purina cat chow, hairball control.. and it did work, with the occasional hair ball once and awhile.
I ended up trying the Purina cat chow, indoor formula because they were out of hairball control, and for some reason, it ended up working Alot better than the hairball control. My two cats very rarely have hairballs now. So I suggest the indoor formula.

Brush your cat as well.... its not only cuts down on the fur she ingests, but its good for her fur, and also a show of affection to her and she'll love you for it.

Hartz Hairball Remedy (you put it on your cats paw and then they lick it off, u only have to give it to them once a week), you could also give it Friskies Hairball Remedy Treats (it helps to prevent and eliminate hairballs).

I buy Purina Dry Cat Food, Indoor Formula. It helps prevent hairballs.

But the only way you can get them to stop is if you brush your cat out daily with a fine tooth comb. This will take off the loose furs so they won't swallow them instead when they clean themselves. This is also a way to cut down on cat allergens, so if you have mild cat allerigies, they'll go away if the loose dander is removed.

First, brush your cat every day or vacuum if they will let you, give a raw egg (take a fork and mix well) about once a month. Hope this helps
