If they are both neutered they will work it out eventually. It is always interesting to watch the dynamics. Some cats will become clearly dominant or they may just calmly accept one another and ignore each other for the most part. Or they can become good buddies. You never know. It is usually harder to integrate an new cat into a household if the resident or older cat is female.

If they are both neutered, it doesn't matter what sex the cats are.
They may or may not fight, but it will have nothing to do with being males if they are.
I personally think you would have more problems if the new family had a female cat.
Some cats just don't like other cats at all, some cats will only like certain other cats. Just no way to tell.

If they are both fixed, you may have a shot at them getting along. A lot depends on the cats' personalities. My male cat got along fine with another male cat that I used to "babysit" for a friend at my apartment; but they were both very laid-back cats.

Cats, especially male cats are naturally territorial. The males will always fight for dominance over territory and females.

There will be some spatting at first. But it won't go beyond that if both males have been fixed. Old Bear used to take care of ALL the kittens- including the little boys! But then, for the most part he was remarkably laid back.

Unless the cats are introduced properly, they will undoubtedly fight.
