I have always loved them and was searching on the internet at the various catteries for prices just to get an idea but mostly I came up with nill. I guess I have to call them and talk to them. I did find a site that advertises the sphinx cats and those guys run between 1200.00 and 1500.00 american dollars. Does anyone out there have a siamese cat? Write and tell me, ok?

Many thanks for the great input. I'll contact a local breeder and keep you posted. I currently have 2 cats (one's a Bobtail) ; I fear one might not be with me much longer and when the time's is such that it's just me and my Bobtail, I'll want a Siamese. I've heard they're very chatty and I would love that. The little Bobtail is highly friendly and social. I typically get animals from the local pound; this has been most successful and satisfying but I might indulge. Again my heartfelt thanks...

If you want a show quality cat it will cost you much more. Typically around $600 on the east coast of the US. However, a lot of breeders will let their pet quality cats go less expensively (I got a beautiful temple burman that way for $200). Watch your local paper and check Cat Fancy magazine for reputiable breeders in your area.

Siamese are very vocal and not always affectionate so be prepared for an independent kitty (smile)

Purebred Siamese

I own two purebred Siamese cats and I assure you they will make fantastic pets, they are extremely talkative and have a wonderful personality. For the two Siamese cats it was £350 (I'm not sure how much that is in dollars). You will need to find a Siamese Cat Breeder first, you can find a list of any breeders who sell Siamese cats in many reputable cat magazines and local newspapers.

Hope this helped.

They're somewhat expensive. It depends on the background of the cat. You could possibly find a breeder that breeds purebred siamese cats & they'd probably sell you cheaper. My friend once bought a purebred siamese for about 75 bucks.

Depends on the background of the cat. Also, siamese are not a big seller in the car market because of their temperment. Great pets, don't get me wrong, but not great at cat shows and such. Look around, they are not normally over 500. us dollars.

you can get them cheaper - depends where you look..

NEVER NEVER buy from a pet store - you will get low quality cat for higher price than its worth

you can check your local SPCA or animal shelter or find a siamese cat rescue
