How can a Hippo eat a zebra or a croc? Its a herbivorous...You may have seen it biting a crocodile...not eating it! And when it comes to Lion vs Hippo, lions usually dont attack hippos. If they does so, it must have numbers on its side. I have seen lions singleing out a weak hippo before hunting it down! I have also seen 2 hippos chasing the lions when the safety of their calf was in question! So, it may be either of the 2 possibilities!

No. As someone said, lions hunt in packs and this means they can bring down very large animals.

Africa, Botswana, Okavango Delta "The Selinda Spillway (Magwegqana) is an ephemeral waterway flowing away from the lagoon towards the Okavango Delta in the South-West. The lagoon is home to high concentrations of hippo, a favourite catch for the region’s lion. This is probably the only place in the world where lions hunt hippo."

Lion would win because lions are stronger than hippos. That video I saw between lion and hippo the lion won. He just attacked the hippo from behind, the hippo wasn't ready. Sometimes I see on videos a lioness eating a dead hippo, and one lion would also win against hippo. So lion wins.

Hippo, as lions can and do kill hippos, yet at the same time as they are on land, ill or stuck in deep dirt, and that is frequently the completed delight. it is hardship-free for a beaten up previous male hippo who has no get entry to to water to fall prey to a delight of lions yet he's already spent No volume of lions ought to handle a healthful hippo in water lions are smarter than that, did you comprehend even tremendous nile crocs on the breaking point of 20 feet go away healthful hippos on my own, hippos opt to chase crocs faraway from useless hippos and hippos will eat meat,

One on one in the water, the hippo would bite right thru the lion. A lion would not waste time on a hippo as it would be too much of a fight. by the way, it is the females who hunt, not the males.

That's a good question. Lions hunt in packs, so they'd probably have the advantage right there. But, I'm sure a hippo would do a lot of damage in the process. As for one on one... very very hard to say. There must be someone out there who knows...

Hippos are not meat eaters. They spend all day in the water and come out at night to feed on plants. They have been known to attack anything IN the water that they feel are a threat to their young. There are several sites on the Internet if you want more information.

Lions, tigers etc usually hunt in the daytime because they can see their prey better.

Crocodiles have been known to pull large animals into the water that have come to drink..

it depends on how big the hippo is, and if the lion was alone, but obviously if it was not then the lion would win.
