You should not be feeding kittens to anybody or anything. That is positively immortal. How can you withstand the screams of those adorable little ones.
Seriously if they look chubby,m back off on the Purina cat (or lion?) chow and give them more exercise.
Dan.

I don't have any cats yet, but I think don't feed them 2 bowls at one time you can feed the two bowls like one for dinner and beakfast. I think the told me about how to feed puppies like I think 3 to I think 4 bowls a day then once the get older feed the 2 bowls a day. I don't know if kittens are the same tho. When you feed the 3 bowls a day if the get hungery in between a meal or 2 or each meal you can feed the a treat or something. If your kitten starts to get over weight then you shuold start feeding it deit food and maybe cut back on the some of the food just a little bit or something. Depens how over weight it is.

I don't know about two kittens, but i have 5 kittens (about 8 weeks old) and the momma kitty. I feed them every day and for all six of the cats two cereal bowls worth of food. they eat a little bit at a time and it lasts them most of the day. usually it will say on the food bag as to how much to feed them. If you just buy regular cat food, not kitten food, you can just go to the store and look on a bag of kitten food to see.

I have always "free fed" my cats which means leaving out the food for them to eat at will. However I think this would only work with dry food.

I have 2 cats and a kitten and they only get dry food. The cats get whatever good quality stuff is on sale and the kitten gets kitten chow.

I would think the mother is probably ready to wean the 2 month old. Usually kittens are adopted out at that time.

I have 3 kittens that are about 3 months old. I let them eat as much as they want cause they r growing. Some ppl give them about a handful about 4 times a day. I just put the dish out and let them eat as they want. They r most active at this stage. And the water should never be limited. Its ok for kittens to be chubby. Have you wormed yours? Sometimes when they r chubby, they r needin their worm medication. Good luck and have fun.

cats should have free access to their food - unlimited dry kibble however some foods are so low in nutrition that the cats have to eat more food (any from grocery store or wal mart are loaded with fillers like by-products and corn) there for they also get fatter

SPAY YOUR CATS.. spayed cats will be healthier and wont need to eat as much - the 2 month old should not be nursing

THAT IS OK THAT IT IS STILL FEEDING OF THE MOTHER ,SHE WILL PUSH IT AWAY WHEN SHE NO LONGER WANTS IT TO NURSE OFF OF HER,AS FAR AS IT LOOKING TUBBY THAT IS FINE ALSO,THE KITTEN WILL NOT EAT TILL IT EXPLODES,AND KNOWS ITS LIMIT SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THEY ARE VERY HEALTHY WHICH IS A GOOD THING.IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE THEM TO THE VET FOR A CHECK UP AND SHOTS ,THEY CAN DETERMINE IF IT HAS WORMS OR OTHER PARASITES.IF YOU HAVE AN "ARNI FOUNDATION " IN YOUR AREA THEY ARE FAIRLY CHEEP FOR SHOTS ,IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE YOU SHOULD TELL THEM TO ALSO CHECK THEM FOR WORMS AND PARASITES ,BECAUSE THEY ONLY DO WHAT YOU PUT DOWN ON THE PAPER THEY GIVE YOU TO FILL OUT FOOR EACH KITTEN,JUST FOR YOUR INFO IF THE MOTHER HAS WORMS AND PARASITES SHE CAN PASS THEM ON TO THE BABIES THROUGH HER MILK WHEN THEY ARE NURSING.BE AGOOD IDEA TO GET ALL CHECKED .

a kittens stomach (as of all animals including humans) is about the size of its paw. dont leave too much food out. and because kittens are energetic, possibly go get some "lean kitten chow". ive seen it at wal mart. give that kitten about a week and itll start loosing much of its weight.2 months old is old enough to be weaned off of the mother. the puppy that i have now, his mother stopped feeding her litter of puppies at 2 weeks old and the puppies ate mashed puppy chow. your kitten is getting too many calories from its mother. try to separate them long enough to let her milk dry (possibly 1 week).
good luck.
