Hens and cockerels are both born together. We eat the hens, but do we eat the cockerels? And if not what happens to them all.

My pet cockatiels, Adam, Eve, and Sunny, are 3 birds which weren't hand fed when they were born. Sunny was born from Adam and Eve, and we bought Adam and Eve. Is it too late to tame any of them if Adam and Eve are 1 and a half years old and if Sunny is 4 months old?

Does anyone have advise or tips to stop a bird from picking itself bald!!! My bird is plucking out its chest, leg & wing feathers. The bird has plenty of toy and more than enough attention! He is never left alone for more than 4-5 hours - He has a bird mite treatment box that hangs on the outside of his cage to treat for mites and lice - I also spray him almost daily for mites & lice. He is willing to take showers and I have found that spraying him with "YUCK" spray is not effective - I am at my witts end. Please help!!!!!

she is also bad at feet, and i am a diabetic so I cant afford to get nicks on them. she is very affectionate the rest of the day but when she wants to play look out. I have tried the toys, kongs filled with peanut butter, frozen face cloths and being very repettitive with saying no. I have to find a solution because Ill never let her go, and life would be alot happier for both If this one habit was taken care of,

I came home today and was horrified to see my favorite roosters waddle hanging down almost to his feet. It was torn as though it had been peeled or fileted. I know I must cut it but I don't know how.
Please help.

I only want pellet answers! I know about diet - fresh food - etc. What I want to know is what type of pellet food do you feed your bird and why? Have you tried other pellet food and what was your birds preference? Mine picks out certain colors, but I was told by the manufacturer that there is no flavor attached to the color and the bird just had a color preference. Do you get your food locally or do you have it shipped? What about expiration dates? Please try to answer all questions. Thank you

I have a blue mask bird and he is a boy, he lived with my fiance for a while then he gave him to me, after a short time I discovered that he is acting strangly as if itching himself on his leg he put it on the stick and move quickly and then do the same for the other leg he looks very irritated when he is doing this and when i try to ditract him he moves to another place and continue itching his legs, I took him to several vets and they all said that he don't have alergie or any thing obvious that cause this. my bird do this only in winter but the whole summer nothing is wrong with him, I keep him warm to avoid that may be the cold cause this but this goes during winter I want to help him and i don't want him to suffer.
Please if you know how to help him tell me or recommend anyplace to help me knowing that in Egypt there are no proffissional vets for birds

My female finch keep laying her eggs in the food dish despite that there are nest in her aviary. I have moved the eggs from the food dish to the nest, but she won't go in the nest. I don't know if I should move it back to the food dish or keep moving the eggs she lay in the food dish to the nest and hope that she will eventually find the eggs in the nest and go in. This is not her first clutch of eggs. This is her second clutch. On the first cluch she was laying her eggs inside the nest so I am not sure why she is not doing the same with this clutch of eggs. I have removed her previous nest from her first clutch and put in a new nest. Any suggestions on what to do.

Ok, I'm adopting a baby greenwing macaw. The shop owner keeps saying that he is a GREAT greenwing macaw. Which is very rare compared to your standard greenwing macaw. I've searched and searched for GREAT greenwing macaws. But, I can't find any information on them. also, the blue and gold macaws that he has he claims are rare Golliath blue and golds. Again, I searched and searched for golliath blue and golds and when I google it only his shop comes up. so, is there a such thing as a great greenwing macaw and a golliath blue and gold macaw. He says the difference is the size. that they will grow 2-3 inches bigger and are rare.
