I have a blue mask bird and he is a boy, he lived with my fiance for a while then he gave him to me, after a short time I discovered that he is acting strangly as if itching himself on his leg he put it on the stick and move quickly and then do the same for the other leg he looks very irritated when he is doing this and when i try to ditract him he moves to another place and continue itching his legs, I took him to several vets and they all said that he don't have alergie or any thing obvious that cause this. my bird do this only in winter but the whole summer nothing is wrong with him, I keep him warm to avoid that may be the cold cause this but this goes during winter I want to help him and i don't want him to suffer.
Please if you know how to help him tell me or recommend anyplace to help me knowing that in Egypt there are no proffissional vets for birds

If you believe it is dry skin, you can give your bird about three drops of salmon oil daily. This will help a lot with dry skin problems. Also, see if you can find a holistic vet. Many do phone consultations so you don't need to worry about travelling as much. I use Dr. Jennifer Ramelmeier, in Clarksville, MD.

Have you considerd that the stick you mentioned may be causing some reaction to the bird?

Change the stick in the perch.
Perching sticks should always be of natural wood and varied in their thickness to stop feet being curled constantly in the same position. The need to have the variances to stretch the muscles of their feet so they don't cramp, or get claw foot, especially in the cooler or colder periods.

Find a small tree branch and put it through the cage and see if there is any improvement in the behaviour
